Christie Golden speaks Star Wars!

Posted September 28th, 2008 by Andrew Lupi

New “Star Wars” author Christie Golden recently updated her blog about writing for “Star Wars” for the first time and how she got the job. Here’s an excerpt:

“Last year Del Rey put out a nine-books series entitled “Legacy of the Force.”  It was an ambitious and exciting undertaking–three authors, nine books, each author alternating.  The three authors then were Troy, Aaron and Karen Traviss.  If you look at Karen’s website you can see that she more than has her hands full with many other projects, including more Star Wars novels, and so when the opening came for this one, “Fate of the Jedi,” I got lucky enough to to be asked to step in.”

The entire interesting blog entry can be read here. Special thanks to our friend Zee Zee for letting us know!

Amazing news. Christie Golden is an excellent writer her Starcraft novels and her Star Trek novels are very good. Her working alongside two of my fav SW writers is really cool.

It seems that Del Rey is making some good picks for new authors; the fans always will write the best.

I have been reading that she is a Star Trek writer I do not like this idea and who is going to die in this series Leia Han or who I think it will be Luke gee which one of these authors gets the unenviable task of convincingly killing off the main hero of Star Wars
