Mark your calendars, Expanded Universe fans. EUCantina’s Summer Reading for Children’s Literacy program is kicking off on July 11, and that means your chance to win prizes in our largest giveaways – ever!
Summer Reading for Children’s Literacy is a two month long program designed to raise donations for Reading is Fundamental, the largest nonprofit children’s literacy organization in the United States. From July 11 through September 12, EUCantina will publish special content, host exclusive giveaways, and offer several creative contests and activities. The goal is to gain interest in supporting children’s literacy and bring attention to an opportunity to donate to this important cause.
A full schedule with details of all of our events will be released closer to the launch of the program. Today, we wanted to get you excited by revealing some of the items that will be used as prizes this summer. You’ll have a chance to win:
- Two copies of The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia with signed bookplates containing all seven author signatures.
- Two hardcover copies of Fate of the Jedi: Abyss signed by author Troy Denning.
- One hardcover copy of Fate of the Jedi: Allies signed by author Christie Golden.
- One hardcover copy of Fate of the Jedi: Backlash signed by author Aaron Allston

Austin Blankenship is the webmaster of EUCantina. He is a host of our official podcast, EUCast, and also founded our sister website, SoloSound.net. Austin helped turn EUCantina from a forum into a website in 2007, and continues to operate the site and the EUC social media accounts. Austin works as a librarian in a small town above Atlanta, Georgia.
