In conjunction with the release of Pablo Hidalgo’s The Essential Reader’s Companion, Del Rey has released an online library of twelve short stories previously hosted on StarWars.com through their Suvudu.com site. You’ll find stories from many different eras and many different authors, including John Jackson Miller, Jason Fry, Chris Cassidy, and Rich Handley, among others. The previously posted short story Judge’s Call by Timothy Zahn is also included in this new library to make thirteen total stories in this collection.
These stories are all covered in The Essential Reader’s Companion and some were previously hard to find, so it’s nice to see them getting a spotlight. Hopefully we’ll continue to see short stories like this made easily available now that The Essential Reader’s Companion will be making more people aware of things like this that they might have missed in the past.
