Del Rey announced today that July 2, 2013 will be the on sale date for Troy Denning’s Crucible, two weeks sooner than the previously rumored date of July 16th. It will be releasing simultaneously in hardcover, eBook, and audiobook formats. They’ve also posted an updated cover for the novel using the same images of Han, Luke and Leia as the previous cover, but separated and in close-up instead of the group shot shown earlier this year.
Brian joined EUCantina in 2012 as a news reporter. He saw the Original Trilogy when he was so young that he can’t even remember the first time he saw them. His earliest EU memory is listening to audio books of the Jedi Academy trilogy with his family, and since then he has gotten his hands on as much EU material as he can, loving the novels, comics and video games. 
Two things-
1. Nice that they are doing multiple format releases at once. Shame that the paperback isn’t’ included. I even Dared Del Rey on an episode of Star Wars Beyond the Films lol
2. The cover- I hope this is not the final. I think the original concept as it was worked better than this- this looks like a concept image hacked up and reused. Oh wait… lol
