Troy Denning discusses the origins of his Star Wars stories

BookNewsMK

Over on the official Star Wars Blog, author Troy Denning has taken some time to chronicle his involvement with the Expanded Universe. Denning’s Star Wars novels tend to be ‘love them or hate them’ kind of stories, so getting this insight into where his stories began and how they grew is nice to see. He discusses his love for bugs, the planning meetings for Legacy of the Force and Fate of the Jedi (spoiler: Abeloth was Aaron Allston’s idea), and goes into even more detail about the recently released Crucible.

Whether you’re a fan of Denning’s work or not, the post is worth a read to see how Expanded Universe novels get started, and how authors and editors work together to bring us these stories.
