Rumored Footage of Battlefront III Leaked! (UPDATED)

Posted January 15th, 2009 by William

Last night, footage of Star Wars: Battlefront III was leaked! Below you can view the apparent footage from  Star Wars: Battlefront III, thought to be from a meeting at Free Radical in November, before they went under. It’s rumored that Rebellion, the company that made the PSP exclusive title Battlefront: Renegade Squadron, was given the contract to the game shortly after Lucasarts took the contract from Free Radical back.

From what I can tell, the game looks pretty far along.  Hopefully it’s still being made by Rebellion, like the rumors are saying.  There’s also an interesting article over at Kotaku about a tidbit heard in the trailer pertaining to a certain Jedi Master.

While the footage looks legitimate, it could be faked.  Any news about Battlefront III, the trailer and everything else, is just a rumor until the official announcement comes from LucasArts.

UPDATE: Fixed the video and added link.

Awesome! I never managed to play Battlefront 2, so I’m not sure how much different it will be, but I have to say it looks totally awesome. Now I feel the need to go out and get caught up on Battlefront 2 while I still can. :)

The footage looks so incredible. Land to space maps in one? Sure looks like it on Coruscant.
