Yesterday at WonderCon, as promised, Dark Horse had a pretty big revealing for their upcoming “Invasion” comic. The cover art seen below, unrevealed by Dark Horse’s Jeremy Atkins, was drawn by cover artist for the Invasion series, Jo Chen. No word, yet, on which issue this will be covering, but it still looks pretty dang sweet.

Head on over to SW.com for a short interview with Randy Stradley about the announcement.
UPDATE: Author for Invasion Tom Taylor wrote on his blog that this art is indeed the cover for the first issue of Invasion, which will be released in July. It is Luke Skywalker on the cover, by the way.

Of course, I assume he’s using the Force to make the winds blow at hurricane speed to send the Yuuzhan Vong flying since they can’t be sensed in the Force and can’t have Force push used on them directly. At least, I hope this is the case….

It’s meant to be an eye catching comic cover. It’s employing dramatic effect and artistic license.

HA HA FREAKING SWEET COVER yeah I am basis Luke Skywalker is my top favorite character still this is cool kind of reminds me of Dark Tide when Luke wielded two Lightsabers against the Yuuzhon Vong to protect that worthless nephew of his anyway that is my first and last Jacen Solo bash of the night anyway great cover looking forward to this

Well, it did catch my eye
I’ve been too harsh on SW continuity lately; I should take it easy every now and then lol
And I would say it does remind me of Onslaught, too; does this cover mean that Luke is in the first issue? I doubt Luke is on the planet our main characters are on, but I brief recap of the beginning part of the war with maybe Luke doing something like this would be great to see!

Luke Han and Leia and the Solo kids are all supposed to have roles in this series I am worried about Mara but they are all supposed to be in this series but I do not think they will be the center of attention it is cool they will be there in some capacity but what about Mara she is part of the family too I hope they do not forget about her
