Awhile back a 2011 novel was announced, being written by Michael Reaves and Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff, which would center on a rags-to-riches story of a Star Wars character. The title for the novel has just been announced – Star Wars: Holostar! The name was revealed on Maya’s blog, here, and while not much other information on it has been released yet, this is definitely a great piece of info to know. Check out EUC’s interview with Sue Rostoni here, where she comments on Holostar!

No offense to Michael Reaves personally, or his friend Maya, but I really don’t enjoy his books. They’re all just so small scale. I guess that’s my problem with all prequal trilogy novels and any in-between-the-movies books, but I would have thought that after writing the two Medstar books Mr. Reaves would have graduated to the real books, the post ROTJ era.
Am I alone in thinking this? Is there anyone out there who likes those books compared to the Legacy or NJO books?

izi, I guess you are just fan of post ROTJ era, so that is the main reason you don’t like Reaves’s books – they’re just from ‘the wrong time’. I, personally, enjoy them a lot.
i like the books of NJO and Legacy book series. so you’re not alone in thinking this,
i haven’t found out until now that Michael Reaves and unknown author Maya – i don’t know her though, even though she’s a friend to Michael. Since when i heard about Michael and Maya writing another SW book “Holostar”? it wasn’t even in the SW book schedule. Who knew about this anyway?
