Outcast, the recently released first installment of the Fate of the Jedi series by Aaron Allston, has made the New York Times and Publisher Weekly’s bestseller lists. It’s come in at number three on both of them, though that could easily change with time. Be sure to pick up Outcast if you haven’t already!

SPOILERS:
Outcast was good; Corran Horn has his first major role since the New Jedi Order series. A big fight with his son, who has gone nuts, Luke and Ben are great in here, too. Ben is very impressive here; Luke is great too but then Luke is always great Jaina and Jag have some heated arguments about setting up a Jedi Academy in the Empire Imperial Knights anyone I hope so I really do Jaina has a new group called Darkmeild which are trying to catch Rogue Jedi before Daala’s bounty hunters do Jedi Master Plo Koon’s home world Dorin plays a big part of the Skywalkers part of the story which is cool
while overall I love the book there where a few things I did not like Luke being treated like a criminal that really made me angry. everything he has done for the galaxy and this is how they repay him I just know they are going to regret exiling him Luke is using Mara’s ship I both like and don’t like this the Jade Shadow without Mara piloting it its like Slave One without one of the Fetts or the Falcon without Han it just feels wrong to me Han and Leia and a dieing Kessel and them trying to save Lando’s investment you would think they would have better things to do there part is definitely the weak point of the book boring not important overall disappointing
good book overall 4 of 5 stars Star Wars fans should not miss this book
