The Padawan’s New Clothes

StarWars.com’s new background contains an image of Ahsoka Tano wearing a new set of clothes.  First glimpsed in the Season 2 trailer, the Padawan’s new clothes are much easier to see in this image. 

Is the wardrobe change a response to fan complaints regarding Ahsoka’s Season 1 clothes, or is it just a temporary change similar to Anakin and Obi-Wan’s snow gear in Trespass (S1-E15)?  The Season 2 trailer contains both variants of clothing, so it is possible they made the switch partway through production on the second season. 

Whatever the reason, it will be interesting to find out the answer when Star Wars: The Clone Wars returns this Fall.
