Today, Dark Horse’s New Jedi Order comic series, Invasion, begins! The first issue comes written by Tom Taylor, with art by Colin Wilson, and containing an amazing cover by Jo Chen. Pick this one up today for $2.99 at any local book store.

Be sure to read the first and second preview issues, available online online, before picking up the first issue. Also, our friends over at Galactic Binder have an awesome interview with Dark Horse editor Randy Stradley discussing, among other things, Invasion.

Let the Invasion begin!

for those who have not read the first issue of invasion you should it is great personally I loved the New Jedi Order Series it was certainly better then Legacy of the Force NJO had original villians a well thought out overall story and was eecuted well over the 18 book series LOTF was by contrast a bd retelling of Revenge of the Sith it was predictable espeacailly after Mara was killed off and ended pretty much how I predicted it would a year before the release of Invincible Invasion one is good anybody who likes Star Wars Legacy or the NJO series should not miss this

Didn’t this “invasion” begin back in 1999 and end years later? World War II doesn’t begin again each time a new WWII book comes out does it? lol

And because of Mike Guy’s comment, I can’t wait to read the issue since we appear to agree on what stories we enjoy of Star Wars, except for Legacy.

Why do you not like Legacy? it rules is it because the predetermined Jag Jaina thing or the fact that Fate of the Jedi ties into Legacy I mean sure some of it is predetermined I mean there is virtually no way Ben Skywalker is not going to have a son at some point unless Luke has some illegitimate kids running around the galaxy or a end of life relationship which is also doubtful especially considering it is known that Mara is a Force Ghost to technically Luke is still married Legacy is great some things are predetermined but not everything we still do not know how Han and Leia die and Luke is not dead yet all we know is that Luke becomes One with the Force and becomes a Force Ghost and I feel I must also point out Fate of the Jedi takes place in 43 ABY and Star Wars Legacy starts in 127 ABY which is the beginning of the Sith Imperial Was we have a 84 year gap between FOTJ and Legacy I think that is plenty of room for new books and other stories and a am pretty sure their is at least one generation at least between Ben Skywalker and Nat and Kol Skywalker so the point is Legacy does not predetermine everything as long as the book writers do not move us towards 127 too quickly we should get plenty of wars and stories between 43 ABY and !27 ABY
