The recent “announcement” that Star Wars: Legacy, a comic series that has been ongoing since 2006, would be ending this July left many disheartened, to say the least. However, where one door closes, there is another to be opened. At least, that is how Dark Horse feels.
Responding to the reaction over the recent revelation, Star Wars comic editor Randy Stradley stated:
No door closes without another opening, and to those longtime readers who pointed out that it was not likely that I would end Legacy without having some replacement planned, I thank you for your confidence. Trust me, it will be rewarded.
While this is not that surprising, it is interesting to know that a new series will rise from Legacy‘s ashes, much like Knight Errant will be doing this fall.

Olay Randy I will trust you for now and yeah I was one of those readers who has been therte since issue one so the million dollar question is what is Legacy being replaced with?
Depending on how that question is answered will decide wether or not I pay 3 bucks every month for 20 pages of Star Wars I was more then willing to wait for the grapic novel release before Legacy and the recently finished KOTOR and while I am injoying Invasion it can’t touch KOTOR or Legacy as far as greatness goes
Legacy needs to be replaced by a series that continues the story or at least needs to continue in some form otherwise you guys at Dark Horse just wasted the last 4 years building up the story just to tair it all down righit when the war truely starts thus wasteing everybodies time including readers like myself and I am pretty sure I am not the only reader that feels this way given your little stunt last Monday mistake or not does not matter to me and I respect Randy for owning it but it was still insulting and disrespectful to the Star Wars fans that took the time to read your comic every month
What you guys replace Legacy with which personally I do not think Legacy can be replaced by anything other then a continuation of Legacy will keep me around or if Legacy is contuned at all for that matter I will be reading Knight Errant beacuse I want to see more of the New Sith Wars era outside of what I refure to as the Darth Bane era but other then that I am done after July outside of the occationally Invasion comic or and the upcoming Knight Errant by JJM
I hope you guys did not just make a huge mistake or I hate to say it but I am done after July which will suck and makes me one sad and disappioted Star Wars fan
You have the next move I just hope you guys have made the right one I really do beacuse I am not a bealiver yet

I guess I have a lot of confidence in Dark Horse. But I can’t pretend that I don’t want them to write a new series right after Legacy.
