*Update* Here is a written statement issued by Lucasarts “Darrell Rodriguez has resigned and we have initiated a search for a new leader. Jerry Bowerman, a member of the Lucasfilm Board of Directors and a games industry veteran, will be stepping in to lead the Lucasarts executive team during this transition. Lucasfilm remains fully committed to making great games and we continue to invest in our business” Source: IGN

A shocking report just coming out courtesy of Kotaku states that Lucasarts President Darrell Rodriguez along with top company executives have left the company for unknown reasons. This isn’t the first time a Lucasarts President has left the company abruptly, you might remember Jim Ward, the man who Darrell replaced, left in 2008 to pursue a career in politics. It is being reported that the departures will not impact the company’s development teams or other aspects of it’s publishing business. Not much is known as to why he and the other top brass left but stay tuned as we’ll let you know when more is known.
