Another slow week, but don’t worry, it’s like the calm before the storm! Things are on the horizon that are very promising! What did come out was the 4th installment of the free webcomic The Old Republic: Blood of the Empire. It’s shaping into a tale of intrigue, trust, and betrayal, all the elements of a good time. Here’s a closer look:
Teneb Kel begins his quest to find the Emperor’s apprentice and learn the reason she betrayed her master. But a war-torn galaxy isn’t always friendly toward Sith, and without a squad of Imperial soldiers to back him up, Teneb must rely on his wits and his lightsaber for protection. Also: what role does the Republic play in Exal Kressh’s machinations?
Writer Alexander Freed has sent Teneb Kel on one heck of a ride so far, and we are only four issues deep into the Shades of the Sith arc! Dave Ross’s illustrations combined with, Mark McKenna’s inking shape a galaxy war torn by the Sith, struggling to recover. The colors Michael Atiyeh uses to draw life to this series are bold and expressive, yet have the Star Wars feel most comic fans are used to. This team works well together, you can look forward to many more issues to come.
