Blood of the Empire Continues with Arc Two!

Blood of the EmpireThe Old Republic: Blood of the Empire continues with the first issue of Arc #2, The Broken World .  This issue of the ongoing webcomic is the 5th in the over-all series, but issue #1 of the second arc.  This shift to arcs seems to be a new trend with Star Wars comics, as the Star Wars: Invasion line has recently shifted to this strategy as well.  Things are boiling over as Teneb Kel gets up close and personal with the Sith Emperor's former Apprentice.

Teneb Kel has received his mission from the Dark Council: Find and slay the Emperor's traitorous apprentice, Exal Kressh. But can one young Sith defeat a master of the dark side? And what are Exal Kressh's true plans for the Emperor and the Empire? Jedi, slaves and Sith alike clash in act 2 of Blood of the Empire.

Teneb Kel comes face to face with Exal Kressh, the Emperor's apprentice! But what power does she possess, and what secrets will she reveal to the man sent to kill her? Meanwhile, Maggot's night off continues, and new faces observe from the shadows. It's the beginning of a night full of revelations....

The Jedi are getting closer to Exal Kreesh, who appears to be the key they need for victory against the Sith. When Kel finally confronts her, things do not go as well as he might have hoped.  Exal's statements to Kel raise more questions about this mysterious Sith Emperor; what are his powers? How old is he?  Is he using Exal as he's used Revan and Malak?  The more this story explores the Sith Emperor, the more it is clear that questions from the Knights of the Old Republic games will be answered to some degree.  Perhaps we will even learn what happened to Revan at the end of Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords.  One thing is for certain;  if you enjoy this end of the Star Wars Expanded Universe then this is a story you must check out!
