On August 12, Star Wars fans from across the globe will gather in Orlando, Florida for Star Wars: Celebration 5. With great expectation that some awesome Expanded Universe announcements could come at CV, EUCantina provides multiple ways to get the news as it breaks. We have listed our current Celebration V coverage schedule below. You can use the schedule from home to know when the best times are to check for new updates. Thursday -

  • 12:00 – 1:00: Dark Horse Star Wars Comics (Behind-the-Scenes Stage, W414 ABCD)

Hear what’s new and exciting on the Star Wars horizon from Dark Horse Comics.

  • 12:30 – 1:30: The Clone Wars VFX (Star Wars Classroom and Lecture Hall, W300)

The magic of bringing the big screen to the small screen with The Clone Wars CG Supervisor Joel Aron

  • 1:30 – 2:30: Exploring the Star Wars Galaxy with the Essential Guides (Behind-the-Scenes Stage, W414 ABCD)

Featuring authors Jason Fry, Pablo Hidalgo, Helen Keier, Dan Wallace, and Ryder Windham along with artists Chris Reiff and Chris Trevas, and Del Rey editor Erich Schoeneweiss. The panel will discuss writing and illustrating the previous Essential Guide titles as well as providing exciting news on upcoming titles.

  • 2:30 – 3:30: Celebrating Celebration! (Celebration Stage, Chapin Theater)

Lucasfilm’s fan relations head Steve Sansweet hosts a potpourri of Celebration V goodness, giving an overview of what’s in store at this event put on by fans for fellow fans. You never know who’s going to show up on stage, do a little song and dance, make you laugh–or hide your head in mock shame. Still trying to decide what activities to take in? This presentation may help. Steve has come on stage in the past as a shorts-wearing stormtrooper in clogs and an Ewok. How will he embarrass himself this time? Come and share the fun!

  • 3:30 – 4:30: The Making of The Jedi Path (Star Wars Classroom and Lecture Hall, W300)

Author Dan Wallace along with artists Chris Trevas and Chris Reiff; book designer Rosanna Brockley; and editor Delia Greve discuss the original idea for the book, how the vision evolved — and how the text, illustrations, and special features were developed together.

  • 5:00 – 6:00: Star Wars: The Clone Wars Evolution (Digital Stage, Valencia A)

There’s more than the magic behind creating the look of each episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the award-winning television series, and they grow richer and more technically complex each season. Supervising Director Dave Filoni and CG Supervisor Joel Aron show how the series has evolved technically, and how it continues to grow and change.

Authors Ryder Windham and Pete Vilmur discuss the making of this gorgeous, special hardcover book. What went into the research, the collectibles, and into gathering everything one could ever want to know about the Dark Lord of the Sith.

  • 2:00 – 3:00: The Art and Writing of Star Wars: The Old Republic (Digital Stage, Valencia A)

Drew Karpyshyn (Principal Writer, BioWare), Hall Hood (Senior Writer, BioWare), Arnie Jorgensen (Lead Concept Artist, BioWare) and Clint Young (Senior Concept Artist (Environments), BioWare) discuss what goes into creating the art and story in Star Wars: The Old Republic, the upcoming story-driven massively-multiplayer online role-playing game in development by BioWare and LucasArts. As an added bonus, Clint and Arnie will be creating an entirely original piece of concept art live during the panel, giving attendees a rare and exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the creative process . The Clone Wars Supervising Director Dave Filoni, with host Pablo Hidalgo, discuss The Clone Warstime period, the politics, the Jedi, Ahsoka Tano, the clones, Mandalorians, and the future of series as it moves closer toward the dark times of the Empire.
