We told you recently about a listing on Amazon for a novel by Star Wars fan favorite Aaron Allston. Sue Rostoni told us that she couldn’t comment on the story; yet. She has commented on it now, on the Star Wars.com message boards. She says:
“They can’t count the pages of a book that hasn’t been written yet.”
She makes no comment on whether there will be an Aaron Allston novel to come in the future.

Sounds like the book is happening, but like most things ‘confirmed’ by amazon, the page count, the date and even the title are up in the air. Bring it on!

I doubt this book is going to be 256 pages long. That would be short even for a paperback. At this point all I want to know is what era is this series going to take place in and what is going to happen? If it is the Dark Times era, I can guess what is going to happen, more Jedi are going to die likely by Darth Vader’s hand, however, Aaron Allstone is the author of the book. I just can’t see him writing a book in the Dark Times period.
I still think this series will detail a spit within the New Jedi Order. One side will support Ben Skywalker as the new leader of the Jedi; the other will support Jaina Solo. I can see a Jedi Civil War in the New Jedi Order’s future, but unlike the one Darth Revan caused in the KOTOR era, this one will not be Jedi vs. Sith, this will be Jedi vs. Imperial Knight. I think Jag Fel and Jania Solo are going to form the Fel Empire in this series.
I think Luke Skywalker will die in this series. If this happens I just hope that Ben is in his early twenties so he is believable as a successor to Luke, because, I have a hard enough time believing he is a Jedi Knight at fourteen. I have feared for Luke Skywalker’s death since the end of Legacy of the Force Betrayal. I just hope if Luke does die in this series that he goes out fighting like Mara Jade Skywalker did in Sacrifice. I want Luke’s death to be done right. I like Ben and have tried to get used to him since he is likely going to be the new main hero eventually. He is growing on me but I do not believe for a second that he will ever replace his parents in my eyes.
