Interestingly, according to Karen Miller is was Karen Traviss “who came up with this title after reading the draft manuscript” (http://karenmiller.livejournal.com/97779.html)

Interesting. Do you think the title could mean that this book will do for Wild Space what the Force Heretic trilogy (from the New Jedi Order series) did for the Unknown Regions? i.e., explore areas of the galaxy that hadn’t really been featured in detail before, or at least explore them further? I would love to see a light being shed on these mysterious new areas of the galaxy.
