Newsarama.com has continued their countdown to the Clone Wars premiere next Friday with an interview with Tom Kane, the voice of the Jedi Master Yoda. Tom voiced Yoda in the previous Clone Wars animated series and Master Vandar from KOTOR . He has worked as a voice actor for many shows, from Ben 10 to Next Avengers. “The animated adventures of Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be coming to television every week starting next week, and you’ll soon be able to also enjoy the theatrical Clone Wars movie in your own home! Star Wars: The Clone Wars is coming to home video on November 11, as a single-disc DVD, two-disc Special Edition DVD, and — the first for any Star Wars release — a Hi-Def Blu-Ray release. The single and double-disc standard-definition versions both include the widescreen movie with Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround EX sound, and with feature-length audio commentary. “

IGN.com has up an exclusive clip from the upcoming first episode of “The Clone Wars” TV series, which is called “Ambush.”

It features Yoda beating down some battle droid gears as well as fan-favorite baddie, Ventress. Check it out below and enjoy! Remember, “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” premieres October 3 at 9 on Cartoon Network.

With only nine days until the premiere episode of “The Clone Wars,” we’re getting some reviews of the first and second episodes as well as interviews with Director Dave Filoni.

First we have a review of the premiere episode of “The Clone Wars,” entitled “Rising Malevolence” and “Ambush.”  They were reviewed by Mark Rivera of Genre Online, and from what I can tell, he really enjoyed them. You can view the entire review here.

Next up is a set of interviews with Clone Wars Director Dave Filoni. The first is from Sci-fi.com conducted by Ian Speeling, which can be found here. The second is from Genre Online and is done, once again, by Mark Rivera. Be sure to check it out here. In both he talks about the first season of TCW a lot, so if you’re interested be sure to check that out.

Newsarama.com has posted another interview with writer Henry Gilroy, the head of the Clone Wars story line, which can be found here. In this interview, he discusses the characters and some things to expect from the upcoming season, which is said to have 22 episodes. Be sure to check it out as we get closer and closer to October 3.

Cartoon Network has just launched a new mini-site for the upcoming “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” television series. It now contains a new TV spot for the series entitled “Hyperspace” under “Videos” and an a Character Guide for the series with downloads and new images for each characters. Star Wars.com posted an article looking ahead at the next two novels of the five-book “Clone Wars” series, “Wild Space” and “No Prisoners,” as well as giving the information that these novels will “serve as companion adventures, featuring new stories set against the backdrop of the television episodes.” It’s very interesting to see how these will play into the series itself.

They also let EU fans know that the fifth, and final, “Clone Wars” book, originally slated to be written by Karen Traviss, will be penned by Karen Miller due to Travss’ busy schedule. That means out of the five books, Karen M. has three of them. The entire look ahead to these novels can be found here.

With the recent revealing that “The Clone Wars” will start October 3 at 9, ComingSoon.net has information from Cartoon Network about the first two premiere episodes of the show, the first of which at 9 on October 3 and the second at 9:30 following it. Below are descriptions for both episodes. If you don’t want to be the least bit spoiled, don’t read on.

Friday, October 3

9:00 p.m.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (p) “AMBUSH”
Jedi Master Yoda is on a secret mission to forge a treaty with the King of the strategic system of Toydaria when his ship is ambushed by Count Dooku. Yoda and three clone troopers must face off against Count Dooku’s dreaded assassin Ventress and her massive droid army to prove the Jedi are strong enough to protect the king and his people from the forces of the war.

9:30 p.m.
“Star Wars: The Clone Wars” (p) “RISING MALEVOLENCE”
Creating panic throughout the galaxy, a devastating Separatist mystery weapon terrorizes the clone Starfleet. Anakin and Ahsoka race to save Jedi Master Plo Koon and his clone troopers in time.

It seems that in the following weeks the episode from the previous week will re-run at 8:30 with the new episode being aired at 9.
