As part of EU Cantina’s blue summer, we have an interview scheduled with Knights of the Old Republic and other comic artist Dustin Weaver. You can feel free to ask your questions in this thread or send them via e-mail to staff@eucantina.net. All questions are due by July 4. Thanks and enjoy!

Yes, there was a reason behind the change in color. (Well, a few, actually–this just happens to be one of them.) Today we are proud to announce EU Cantina.net’s “Blue Summer!” The goal is to get you all pumped and energized for “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” as well as “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed,” both coming out later this summer. In order to do this, we have have events, interviews and more planned all summer long! You can find the entire list of events and interviews here, on our page dedicated to the Blue Summer. Every day of an event, we will also place details on the site itself.

To go along with our site update, we decided to give our Myspace page a little flare. Now decked out with a Force Unleashed themed background, the Cantina Band music, pictures, and more, our Myspace page is where everyone from around the galaxy can come and just say, “Hi!” to fans just like you! If you have a Myspace page, please feel free to make us your friend. We’re looking forward to hearing from you :D Check it out here!

Our interview with authors Steve Perry and Michael Reaves is now online! You can find out more about Shadows of The Empire, how they feel about working with each other, and information on their upcoming works. Mr. Reaves even talks a bit about Cousucant Nights I: Jedi Twilight, which hits stores tomorrow.

You can check out the interview here or by going to the “Interviews” page and hitting their name. Enjoy!

The EUCantina.net is going with a new look.

In honor of the two biggest Star Wars events since 2005, we’ve decided to change the theme of our website to celebrate. From now until the release of The Force Unleashed, we will be blue.

Our “EU going Blue” summer centers around Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie and The Force Unleashed video game. Besides obvious site updates, a few special features are going to be added.

To start, the noticeable new color scheme has been created to go with our new banner (courtesy of Rebel Trading Post.com). We’ve also added two new countdowns next to our headline news slideshow.

The two new buttons on the top of the sidebar do link to our Forums and the Blogs for quicker access. Of course, the Blog button isn’t working yet, and that’s a site update that will be coming up soon, and will be a major event.

The Force Unleashed and Clone Wars image galleries have been made up to date, so be sure to check those out for all of the latest pictures. Those can be found on our Media Knowledge Center and The EU Unleashed pages. Don’t forget to keep checking on those two pages, as new content is constantly added. As of now, they include special podcasts, the image galleries, trailers and videos, and much more.

A new feature for the two upcoming Clone Wars video games can be found here. This will provide exclusive and in depth coverage of the new games, including videos and image galleries, soon to come.

Also, we have too big interviews coming up in September. We’ll chat with Karen Traviss, who is suspect to be working on the novel for the Clone Wars film. We are also working on getting an interview with Haden Blackman in the same month.

We hope that you enjoy all of the updates and work that have been put into the site.

We’d just like to remind everyone that today is the last day that you can submit questions for our interview with authors Steve Perry and Michael Reaves. If you haven’t done so already, you can send us an e-mail to staff@eucantina.net or post your questions in this thread. Thanks!

This just in from the SWORA website:

“After it’s launch period, Star Wars Outer Rim Alliance is finally expanding it’s borders. Five new groups, which are from four different countries are under consideration for S.W.O.R.A. membership and have been decided to put under the testing period. Stay tuned for the news!”

One of those sites is EU Cantina! We are awaiting confirmation of membership and are so excited. We’ll bring the EU to the masses, that’s for sure! The main purpose of SWORA is broaden the range of Star Wars fandom throughout the world and the Expanded Universe is certainly part of that. For all information regarding SWORA and its goals, check out the official site here.

“This in from IGN via Kotaku. It appears that the Clone Wars game on the Nintendo Wii may not have the sort of lightsaber controls that fans may be looking for.

The promise of a Wii Lightsaber game has hung in the air since the Wii hit the shelves. We think this is the game that delivers on that promise”. That’s Ken Fox, from Krome Studios, developers of the upcoming Clone Wars game for the Wii. Excited? Cool those jets. He also says this: “We’ve tried to make the lightsaber control as intuitive and fun as possible. It’s not a Lightsaber simulator, but when you swing your Wii remote left to right; your character does the same. You use the thumbstick on the nunchuck to move your character and swing the Wii remote to swing your Lightsaber”.

It looks like we’ll have something similar to The Force Unleashed in terms of controls although it seems that the correlation between “Wiimote” movements and lightsaber attacks has been dimished.

Yes, it’s that simple. Once your friends are registered all they have to do is PM either Son Of Skywalker or Old Master Ben telling them who suggested joining.
