“This in from IGN via Kotaku. It appears that the Clone Wars game on the Nintendo Wii may not have the sort of lightsaber controls that fans may be looking for.
The promise of a Wii Lightsaber game has hung in the air since the Wii hit the shelves. We think this is the game that delivers on that promise”. That’s Ken Fox, from Krome Studios, developers of the upcoming Clone Wars game for the Wii. Excited? Cool those jets. He also says this: “We’ve tried to make the lightsaber control as intuitive and fun as possible. It’s not a Lightsaber simulator, but when you swing your Wii remote left to right; your character does the same. You use the thumbstick on the nunchuck to move your character and swing the Wii remote to swing your Lightsaber”.
It looks like we’ll have something similar to The Force Unleashed in terms of controls although it seems that the correlation between “Wiimote” movements and lightsaber attacks has been dimished.

EU Cantina is proud to announce the “EUC Forum Member Drive” sponsored by our amazing friends at Rebel TradingPost. What is the EUC Forum Member Drive, you ask? Well, it’s quite simple, really: We love the SW fan community and we feel seeing more of you on our forums would make us better connect with all of the EU & SW fans such as ourselves. Because of this, we are offering the chance to win a unique prize for a simple goal: Tell your friends about EUC and get them to join the forums.
Yes, it’s that simple. Once your friends are registered all they have to do is PM either Son Of Skywalker or Old Master Ben telling them who suggested joining. The member who recruits the most new, active members will win a LIMITED EDITION Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Journal thanks to our friends at RebelTrading Post. (The journal is hardback, #42,092 of 50,000) An image of the journal can be seen here.
The Member drive starts tomorrow, Thursday, June 18, and ends Saturday, June 28. Tell your friends and get started! Good luck, and may the force be with you

“Welcome to Carbonite Dreams, a Kotor encyclopedia! We want people to have as much fun here as possible, so go crazy chatting about anything Star Wars! Aside from our WordPress News section, we have Invisionfree forums to go with this site.”
While content isn’t heavy yet, their forums are very busy and any EU fan will love the features they have including Saturday Night Chats and a Comic Book Club. Head on over now and enjoy the fun!

Our good friend Mark from Lightsabre has just sent us this information regarding the newly formed S.W.O.R.A- Star Wars Outer Rim Alliance:
“All,
Good evening, I have some great news. The Star Wars Outer Rim Alliance -
SWORA - has launched tonight.
Formed by a grouping of 8 nations, with websites covering all aspects of
Star Wars, the aim of SWORA is to reach out across Europe and the world and embrace the many and varied facets of Star Wars fandom.
So, from Mongolia to Mauritius, Alaska to Azerbaijan and everywhere
in between we’re waiting for you to contact us.
The site is www.swora.net and we can’t wait to hear from you.”
We are currently looking to become a member, which would make us one of the only U.S. members of SWORA. We are looking to help spread the Expanded Universe and its fandom throughout as well, so SWORA will be one of the best thing for fandom in a long time. More when we get it; in the mean time, for more information on SWORA, please check out this page. Congrats to all who made this possible!

A few updates to the site have been made this afternoon. First, our new monthly editorial writer, Oliver R. / Flyboy, has posted his first editorial. It can be found on the Judland Waste Wizard’s Corner on this page. It’s a top notch editorial, written by someone with a true knowledge of the Expanded Universe. This editorial could give some other fansite’s writers a run for their money. Be sure to check it out!
Also, reviews of the comics Kotor: Commencement and Rebellion: Mr brother, My Enemy are now up. They are written by comic book reviewer Chris Pence (Jedi Christopher). Both give great insight into the comics. They get into everything from the plot to the art. Don’t miss out on these!
Look for more great updates in the next few days!

Tonight marks the end of the week-long celebration which we liked to call Legacy Of The Force Week. Overall, the week was very successful, largely in part to NJOE, Club Jade, and all who announced it, but also because of awesome fans you contributed to the discussions, trivia, and contests.
We will be announcing the winners of both the NJOE Trivia Contest and EUC Editorial Contest tomorrow as an update to this post, so be on the look out for that. We are still taking entries for the editorial contest as well as looking at answers to the Trivia until 12:00 AM EST tonight, so go ahead and get it in or answer!
Once again, thank you to everyone who participated and made it so fun for all. Maybe we will have another themed week in the future. Until then, we hoped you enjoy it and may the force be with you.
Our Best,
The EUC, NJOE and CJ Staffs
UPDATE:
We are pleased to announce that Zinnos won the NJOE Trivia Contest and Iron Fist took the EUC Editorial spot, and it can be read here. Congratulations, guys, and to all!
