Well written and researched. I like it. However, (as per discussion on twitter) I still find the lapses and inconsistency in SWEU and TCW to drive me crazy. It’s like TCW threw all that we grew up learning out the door.

With so many unknown variables, I can only make assumptions at this point. I am a little nervous that these projects are being put on the back burner (or even cancelled) in an effort to transition into a new era of Star Wars. What worries me about this is the potential for a reboot of the timeline altogether, and while I can understand the reasons for doing so, the attachment I have formed with the EU over the years makes it difficult to view that possibility positively.

Again, with so much up in the air, I can only make assumptions. I am giving Disney the benefit of the doubt to uphold the Star Wars legacy, but I believe respecting the EU is a part of that. If they can do that, I would be most grateful. If not, I hope that they can win me over along with other life-long Star Wars fans.

I heard that J.J Abrams is a bigger Star Wars fan the Star Trek (even if he directed the Star Trek film in 2009) so hopefully he will bring Star Wars back in the glory times of the original movies releases.

I pretty well agree with everything you’ve written. I’d also love to see some sort of interaction between Ben and Yoda, even if it’s just over a comlink or something, and interaction between Ben and Qui-Gon.
It’d be great if this book does utilize information and/or characters from The Clone Wars show.
