I wonder if Cognus will be Zannah's apprentice? Probably so. I wonder how Andeddu will fit into all of this?

Andeddu was an ancient Sith lord, older than Bane. Supposedly from what I've read he's old, like, Exar Kun era old. I think he was supposed to be one of the first ever to use the title Darth, and Bane only revived it so I don't know if Andeddu will be involved in Dynasty of Evil.

I have no doubt in my mind he's connected to the ancient artifact. I could be wrong, however. Very Happy

Yeah, probably in a holocron or something. The one thing I don't get is, isn't Cognus the guy who trained Millenal, and isn't Milleval kicking in the New Republic (he was in the obscure 'The Glove of Vader', which I've never read). How does that work? Unless they use stasis... how long do Ikotchi live?

Darth Cognus is a female Iktochi and her first apprentice was Darth Millennial, a three eyed mutant. He was only mentioned in the Glove of Vader books as a reference. Trioculus was the three eyed mutant that appeared in the Glove of Vader books. Millennial was simply retconned later as being one of the guys mentioned.

One thing that has me wondering is whether Zannah will kill Bane and take Cognus as her apprentice, or whether Bane will Kill Zannah and take Cognus as his apprentice. For some reason I just can't picture Zannah taking on a female apprentice.

I think that she'll kill him. Zannah will take Cognus. At least, that's my hope. I think she's got it in her. Plus, Bane had a lot taken out of him after years with the parasites so he's been weakened. A new apprentice might be able to kill him before they're ready due to his physically weakened state. Of course, the artifact (crossing fingers for Andeddu) could fix that and even the playing field back out. Who knows.

I'm guessing Zannah will kill Bane, but if they follow up with the next Sith Lords, it would be neat to see at least one master kill their apprentice. btw for some reason an Ikotchi Sith Lord really excites me.

You're probably right about Bane dying ..but I wish they would let him go on for a while gathering Sith information and making holocorns or candycorns or something worthwhile to pass on to future Sith. I can't get enough of Bane. He seemed super bad in the first book and kind of odd and long suffering in the second. It would be a shame if he ends up only being known for the rule of two......and being killed by such a young apprentice. To me the girl's got be allowed to get deeper and more Sith wise ... so killing him can go over in a way that strengthens the Sith. She seems to be always wondering what he's thinking or up to while he's on a major self upgrade quest without too much regard for her.
Then again, if she kills him perhaps she can get busy building herself without so much preoccupation.

Check out the cover!

Two things of note: they kept Bane's appearance the same, which I like, and Zannah has a nice realistic feel that we didn't get with Rule of Two. I think it's a good cover, even if they're both in the traditional Sith robes.

It's kind of a boring cover, if you ask me.

Boring, yes. But I really like Zannah.

Okay, I've provided the blurb in a spoiler below:

What do you guys think? Sounds very intriguing to me. Seems different...which for me is always good! Hopefully it'll be a fast-paced, very gripping tale. Very Happy

I like the sound of it.... a lot. A very awesome standalone tale, it seems, with just the right amount of character usage. Looking forward to it.

I love it. The idea of Zannah having to rescue Bane in order to kill him is so ironic.
