Alright, I've decided to post some of the "artistic" photos I've taken. First, I wanted to show you some images of the space shuttle. They aren't very "artistic", but I was right next to it and there are some neat things you wouldn't know from far away.

First, the "big, orange rocket thing" that is so iconic isn't what you would expect up close.

Here's a medium range shot of the top of it: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/XV3zc63T0VyVxdCYdMA8LA?feat=directlink

And here's up-close: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/ZA0jX3Q2jnfMx3VFc4KknQ?feat=directlink

:Looks like something from our GFFA, huh? http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/L2dbAis4LcVUzGM2LGozWA?feat=directlink

And, a size comparison: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/U4QpkpTRx5cm5ZpDG8xwQg?feat=directlink

http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/hNIGh-CIsjzdJ3p2bsI7JA?feat=directlink (That's not me)

There's a few more on there I didn't link to.

Enjoy!

(BTW, cameras where not allowed Wink )

The tour for people who have immediant relations to NASA. I don't know if there's a tour that takes you that close for everyone. Sorry. Sad

It's my dad. He works for a photogrammetry software company, and NASA used their software starting with the "Back to Flight" mission. The software allowed the astronauts to take pictures of the outside of the shuttle once in space, and send them back to use to be viewed at any angle, any depth, etc, so they could check for damage to the tiles that caused the last shuttle to explode. He's gone to over to Houston for all but the last two missions, and they invited us to go on this tour here, since we live here already.

I can put up some of the pictures they sent from space in the "Back to Flight" mission, if you want.

Sorry that there's not easy way to get in there, but there were other people walking around with us, so maybe it's not that exclusive. I'm not sure.

I just entered a sweepstakes to win a trip for four to Kennedy Space Center. I used to be the biggest Astronaut/Space fan you could possibly imagine. This was prior to my Star Wars day (though I suppose they do have a good bit in common Smile), and I got made fun of way more for that than I ever do with Star Wars. So anyway, I just thought, "Well why not. I used to love it so much, maybe it'd be fun." Smile

Here is my new business card. Sorry for the quality, it was a publication file, but I wasn't sure everyone could open that, so I made it an image, which distorted it slightly.
