Here's my gripe of the day (month, year?)

So I was playing baseball at school (which I'm horrible at, which I'm sure had it's consequences in this) and when we switched up, this guy on my team was looking for a glove. I tossed him mine, he looked at it, looked at me and said, "I'd rather go barehand."

What the Heck?! Mad

I have a gripe that I've been trying to hold in for a looong time.

Roleplaying online. You know text-based? Yeah that.
I put my SOUL into making a nice plot, and some easy to understand rules, I make it enjoyable.
Well I noticed on EVERY petsite I seem to go to, I'll spend hours making a roleplay, only to have two or three people join it. My current one has been up for three days now and only one person has joined it on this one petsite.
But lord behold it someone who has a plot of:
"yeah um, just a bad guy tryin to tak over the world n yeah, we gotta stop him."
And HUNDREDS join.
I try being unique, usually all the roleplays are are:
Vampires
Highschool drama
Animal-Human Mix (Usually a wolf rp)
or a Pokemon roleplay.

I try and spice it up.
I tried a SW one WAY back then and two people joined, I made it REALLY simple and even explained things so people could understand. they didn't even have to know SW as hxc as people are on here to roleplay my roleplay.
It never got started. Because there wasn't enough people and the ones who DID join never replied.

It's not just me, I've asked other literate and VERY literate users on the same sites and they too stated the same thing. It's like the more soul you put into it and determination to make it really good the less people join.
But people will surely join a Vampire roleplay with a horrible plot, no a lot don't even HAVE a plot, and the Roleplay maker's character as a:
Part Vampire, Part Werewolf, Part wizard, Part snake, Part Demon and so forth Mary-Sue, yet not ones that don't allow people to control YOUR character, people who put so much effort into making it great so you have a fun time?
Where's the sense?

I'm tired of typing up a great roleplaying post only to see that nobody wants to join because I'm not illiterate and -Gasp!- I have a plot and storyline.
I'm sorry I'm so angry because my current one, I used more than the usual effort I put into roleplays. Only one joined. Aaand they have yet to reply.

Users like me who try and make a unique fun-filled roleplay always get this. I DON'T know why. :|

I hear your cries ianthinos. RP sites can be difficult to maintain.

It seems like the summer months are always the worst for RP sites. Everyone disappears and some of them don't come back Crying or Very sad

I went to the pool and then went out tanning and somehow got the back of Inferno(paperback) all wet! So i tried to fan it off and dry it out but know the back is all wrinkly and the last couple of pages are smudged. Sad

My sister had a cactus piñata for her birthday one time (don't ask me why, cause I can't remember), and let's just say the dog thought it was a tree. Neutral

My gripe of the day isn't quite a gripe as much as it is puzzlement. Who in the world thought up scented razors? I bought a pack of disposable Bic razors the other day, and they're cherry scented! Why?! That just seems like the oddest thing to me. Confused

Don't worry, I was mad for a couple of seconds until I burst out laughing. Scented razors, eh? I've never heard of them. Is it like shampoo where it makes you smell like cherries because if not I really don't see a point.

I don't know, but I don't understand it. The handle, not the blades (however that would work anyway) are scented. So I'm having trouble seeing what the advantage/purpose is here. Confused
