Pixar

My other big entertainment passion (aside from Narnia and Star Wars) is Pixar. From as far ack as I can remember I loved Pixar (I was 2 when Toy Story came out) and I've never stopped loving them. They've never disappointed me yet after all these years and I don't think they're going to start anytime soon. Sometimes Pixar seems almost too good to be true, because all they care about is making good movies. They were warned about UP, because it wasn't very marketable and probably wouldn't make heaps at the box office, but Pixar said they had a good story and kept on going. So, I'm sure you know this already, but here are all of their movies:
Toy Story (1995)
A Bug's Life (1998)
Toy Story (1999)
Monsters Inc (2001)
Finding Nemo (2003)
The Incredibles (2004)
Cars (2006)
Ratatouille (2007)
WALL-E (2008)
UP (2009)

I have loved every one of Pixar's movies except for Ratatouille. It's not that it was bad, it just bored me slightly. Didn't capture me like the others did. I fell in love with Wall-E the characater, if not the movie. And the rest are dear to my heart. The shorts are normally hysterical, too. Though I really, really didn't like the Boundin' short, before Incredibles. It was...odd.

Anyway, I say kudos to them for going ahead with Up, and I just hope it's as good as the rest. Smile

I've loved all of pixar's films (particularly Toy Story and A Bug's Life) and they are all fantastic. Except WALL-E. It was an entertaining picture with what could've been a good message but they just went to overboard in the attempt to make humanity feel bad because we're consumers. It annoyed me. I realize the world is pretty bad, but we'll never be THAT bad. Sigh. Still a funny movie though. WALL-E was funny.

A lot of people took WALL-E personally. Personnaly, I thought it was hilarious and all too real. The Incredibles has always been the weakest one in my opinion.

Weakest? Nah! I love the Incredibles! The more I watch it, the higher on my list it climbs. I love when Dash learns he can run on water. His little laugh is hilarious! And the babysitter...hysterical! Jack-Jack Attack was just too funny. I dunno, but I thought the whole movie was so well put together. A superhero family struggling with regular family problems. Like not being able to decide which exit to take...had me laughing so hard! And then the dialogue with Frozone and his wife, priceless! Very Happy

Oh, yeah The Incredibles was great, but if I had to pick one, it would be that one.

I think I have seen "A Bugs Life" like 567 times..... I got it for Christmas a long time ago. Other then Toy Story, I havent really seen any of the other pixar films though, just clips here and there.

*gasp* Autobon! You're missing out on so much! We'll have to fix that. Your new mission is to watch at least one Pixar movie a week until you've seen them all. Try them in the order they came out, cause most of them give little nods toward the previous movies. You can skip A Bug's Life, of course, since you've only seen it 567 times. Wink

Who else here can't wait for UP? I heard there is going to be a precious little as far as merchendizing is concerned. I suppose I can see their point: an old man floats away in a house with 10,000 ballons on top. Not exactly commercialy viable. Laughing

Oh I think that movie looks hilarious! This little kid on the porch while the house was floating away made me laugh so much Very Happy

I think I'm gonna like this one, which is good cause I didn't like the last Pixar flick...as you all know Razz

I saw UP last night and. what can I say, it was incredible. I'd have to see it again, but right now, I think it mught be my favourite Pixar movie. That's saying a lot though so we'll have to see. It was one of the most emotional and for sure the funniest yet. You will NOT be dissapointed.

Up was rockin! easily in my favorite three. I like that one just as well as Toy Story 1 and A Bug's Life

Wasn't it? It definately made my top three. I'm still debating over if it's my favourite though.

I love Pixar, they make great movies and don't fill it with potty humor and sexual innuendos like Dreamworks does.

The best movies are the Toy Stories, I remember watching the Toy Story VHS every day when I was very young, and was thrilled when my dad took me to see Toy Story 2 in the theaters, I was so excited when he came home from work and said, "Hi Joey, you want to go see Toy Story 2?". Man, such good memories.

On another note, Toy Story 3 Teaser... Shocked
