Thanks you for entering the Solo Sound Forums.

Please use this thread to familiarize yourself with the lingo of EUCast.

EUCast has a couple of different show types. Below they are named and explained, there are even examples. Enjoy!

Regular Shows: A regular show is one that contains weekly (and monthly) segments and are recorded Saturday evening. These run anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half.

MiniCasts: Minicasts are shows they are shorter in length than regular shows and do not contain regular segments. Interviews, tutorials, and "Ten Best of..." shows are usually recorded as Minicasts. There is no set schedule for Minicasts.

Cantina Chats: A Cantina Chat is a show devoted to the interviewing and discussion of an EU VIP. For sound quality purposes these are pre-recorded, but usually are told about in regular shows so listeners can ask questions in a variety of forms. They usually are longer than Minicasts but are shorter than regular shows in length. Cantina Chats are usually every other month, but no set schedule has been made.

Specials: EUCast Specials are usually recorded just after a major EU event is announced, such as TFU or The Clone Wars. They have segments, but they aren't consistent like the regular episodes. Length varies and are pre-recorded.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly of the EU: Each year during the week of Christmas the EUCast crew sits down with a few EU inclined people to discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly of the year in terms of the Expanded Universe.

Also, Solo Sound is proud to report EUCast's Cantina Commentaries: SoloSound Hosts collaborating to provide a unique commentary of the Star Wars Saga!

EUCast's Cantina Commentaries

To make it easier on all listeners, we've made a little instruction manual, if you will, on how to have a chance to join EUCast for a Segment, or in the form of feedback.

Join EUCast by opening the EUChatter Chat thread while you listen to EUCast

Leaving a voicemail:

You can now call EUCast and leave a voicemail to be played on the show from your own phone, for free! EUCast is now using Google Voice, which is free for the caller and recipient. You can call 530-EUT-K421 (530-388-5421) to leave a voicemail for free. The voicemail will be recorded, and can be played on the show. Please use this opportunity to ask questions, or to give us your thoughts on the EU news.

That's it! You can now join us through chat or by calling in. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to drop us an e-mail at eucast@eucantina.net

So to better navigate the EUChatter Forums head over to our Thread Directory so find links to all of our episodes and specials.

And if you'd like to chat with the hosts of EUCast head on over to the EUChatter: the official Thread of EUCast you can give the hosts feedback, and discuss topics you've enjoyed, hated, or want to hear!

Speaking of WANT TO HEAR! We want to hear from you. If you have specific SEGMENT ideas for the show drop them off at our Segment Suggestion thread. Who knows we may just go ahead and adopt it!

Now Force forgive it ever happen, but sometimes we Jedi make mistakes. If we do, or you've found one we've missed please let us know in our General EUCast Feedback thread, a "it's broken" thread if you will.

We also have our EUCast Exclusives thread where you can check out some extras from the show.

So we hope this helps you in your travels here at the EUChatter forums.

Thanks for stopping in!
