I'm all for more Star Wars films (and not a trilogy, necessarily), and NOT directed by George Lucas. Look at how good ESB is; Kirshner was a genius.

You know, I was thinking, and now, I don't want another trilogy. GL does not care about EU canon.... Imagine how much he would butcher things! Shocked

Here's a question: If George still made movies as well as the OT, would you want him to do it?

Honestly? Depends...If George said he was going to do three more films (which is highly unlikely since he's only interested in Anakin's story), I would give him the green light IF he was going to make them adult geared action films. No Jar Jars, no angst filled Jedi, and ongoing love stories. Either he pumps out the Thrawn trilogy, an NJO trilogy during the Vong war, a Bane trilogy, a KOTOR trilogy, or some series set way way back during the times of the Old Sith Empire.

Maybe a Krayt trilogy.

I think its pretty much just gonne be Anakin stuff from here on out. The new clone wars movie looks alright, but Lucas needs to let Anakin die and stay dead. He had a good run and a decent storyline, but angst needs to be left alone for awhile.

It would be nice, but it really doesn't matter. But if they do, Episodes VII, IIX, and IX would be great, so they could retcon that AWFUL Emporer's clones plot.

But for another director, I would not suggest J.J. Abrams. He'll just go back and debunk everything that happened in the movies, kinda like he did with Star Trek.

Agreed, lol. I am glad I am not the only person that thinks that.

I think that a new Trilogy should be a reboot of the Dark Empire series. George Lucas could change the canon and we would actually like it... Very Happy

I have gotten so wrapped up into the EU, that I would want another trilogy or two, so long as they were based on EU novels. Or maybe not trilogies at all, follow a scheme like this.

Episode 7= Thrawn Trilogy

Episode 8= Jedi Academy Trilogy

Episode 9= Vector Prime through Star by Star

Episode 10= Rest of NJO

Episode 11= Dark Nest through Betrayal

Episode 12= Bloodlines through Invincible

Obviously nothing close to this would ever happen.

I voted no way- mainly because of the possible continuity issues- now if I knew that planets and characters will remain the same even if someone takes control of the project I'd be all for it. But unfortunately SW is as fluid as the creative mind that comes up with it. Always on the move as Obi-wan says.

Honestly, I'm satisfied with just having books.

I used to want another trilogy, but now I have slightly changed my view. With the new live action series coming out, I will have plenty more hours of star wars media then another trilogy could ever give me.

The idea of another trilogy is appealing, but I just don't think it could be done well, so......I have to vote that they leave the movies how they are. The saga in complete.
