Aww nuts. Another amazing video game bits the dust to the improvement of technology. You know I was just thinking how at least in the X-Wing at fast speeds you would get that white slip stream coming from the edge of the wings. At the time it first came out I remember I was just amazed by that little detail and though it was so cool. I think a few times during missions on my way to the next target I pulled aerial stunts just to see that effect. _________________

I crash into the ground or a canyon wall before I can even blink. Don't even think about shooting something down. So I still have to play it on my dad's old computer. jedipoodoo Knight Joined: 05 Feb 2008 Posts: 367 Location: Connecticut I heard that there are system emulators out there available for download. My son had a download for the original Playstation, so for a while, he would put in a Playstation disc and play that game. He went through Final Fantasy 9 most of the way through. Since Rogue Leader is at least an equally awesome game I think I'll pass since I have a way to get my Rogue Squadron fix I'm just wondering though what are people's favorite ships? Mine is probably the X-Wing with the Y-Wing coming in second (I pretty much like the Y-Wing for the shear awesomeness of carpet bombing a target. Yes I know one bomb will do it but its so much more entertaining to drop half of the payload on the target _________________

That was the reason for buying the joystick, after all. And I even found a suitable compatibility mode in Vista that allows me to play it as close to normal as possible. So cheers for that. Am enjoying it once again, and have even decided to be brave and attempt the game in cockpit mode. To my surprise, it's actually easier! With the X-Wing, anyway. The A-Wing's aim is a little off. Enough so that you can't shoot down those darn Interceptors. But yeah, much fun. If you ever want some truly amazing destruction unlock the Jedi Star Fighter for the co-op. When the waves of TIEs come to attack the medical frigate turn around and launch every single seismic charge you have (go into a spin before firing). One time I took out something like half of all the ties and all but 1 of the bombers. You can also beat the one Star Destroyer mission in record time (the one where they capture the blockade runner and you have to jump between protecting your frigate and destroying the ISD). I think my friend and I beat it in something like 30 seconds using the Jedi Starfighter and N-1. _________________
