I just noticed something today that's been there all along. It just never clicked until now. When I go to most forums, there're ads all over the place. Even StarWars.com. And yet here there are none. And I love it!

Just wanted to send a little positive comment ya'll's way. Smile

Oh yeah, I've never noticed that. The only other forums I go to is NarniaWeb and the ads there can get on my nerves. Good work guys! Smile

Yep, we don't need no stinkin' ads. Very Happy

Also notice that EUC is clear of them in every section. This is something I'm proud of. If you have ads, you either need it to help pay for the site, which wouldn't be the case for most people, because domains are not too expensive, or you're just trying to grab some extra cash for yourself. But, it ruins one of my favorite aspects of a site, and that's the appearance. *Cough* Ted *cough*. Wink

We do have these nice flashy banners though for eye candy. Too bad Ahsoka's no longer there... Crying or Very sad

A comment:

The more I go venturing off into other forums around the web, the faster I come scurrying back here for refuge. I dunno...this place is just different. Gotta love it. Smile

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's nice how we're a small tight-knight group as opposed to some other massive forums were you can't have any decent discussion.

Thanks guys, we appreciate that. Being this size, knowing every member so well, it's a lot of fun. Would it be nice to have more members? Sure, but I think we're nice and comfy just the way we are.

Yup, yup. Couldn't agree more. Smile

I would have said "Yub, yub", but seeing as to its newfound meaning, I think I'll stay with the yup. Wink

EUCantina.net as a full website was in October of 2007. Before that, it was just a forum, so you'll have to ask Andrew when that was.

October of 2006, I believe, is when the original EU Cantina forums were launched.

We've existed under a few different forums before ending up here, and it would be about October 2006. Here's what the original forums were like:
