I agree. Thye Aiin-Ti are much more interesting than the Baran Do Sages in my opinion.

Oh, yes, much. I haven't even finished yet (going to do that in just a minute), and I enjoyed their bit a lot more.

A few people have been complaining about Daala. I didn't mind it because leaders have let their personal dislikes get in the way of good leadership. So it isn't unrealistic so I don't get what the problem is.

@Reep: I just think people aren't liking her because the previous authors made her sound kind of dignified and respectable, like a legitamate good leader that would rule fairly. But I can see your point of view. We shouldn't excpect great, fair things from Daala anyway.

Just finished it and loved it! There were a couple of instances when I felt Golden may have been floundering in her newfound Universe, but I thought she did an excellent job. I'm not totally sure, but I think I like it better than Outcast. I'd have to read both again, which I plan to do before Abyss comes out, but either way, Omen was great. Smile

My Omen review:

So all in all, an excellent read. Golden seems to have a knack for bringing Star Wars down to Earth. Whether that's a contradiction in terms or not, I don't know. But you know what I mean. Smile

Sorry it was so long, but I had to say it while I could remember it all. Smile

I doubt the diease has anything to do with anything other than Jacen. (That came out weird. Confused ) However I wouldn't doubt if Ben got the disease in order for it to hit closer to home.

True, but while I'm sure Jacen has something to do with it, I'm hoping there's more to the story than just Jacen. I hope it's more complex than that...you know what I mean? I'm hoping for this majorly captivating plot that actually causes one to think, "Oh, that makes sense! Wow...how did I never see that coming?" It's kind of hard to explain, but yeah. Confused
