Here are two advertisements I cannot stand. I don't mean they're annoying (few commercials aren't), but they really, deeply frusturate me. The first one,
and I wish I could find the one that says, "join the revolution", really irritates me because owning a phone and/or handheld computer or whatever the heck it is, is NOT a revolution. A revolution is breaking free of the oppressively typical. Everyone's using these things so, for the life of me, I can't understand how this is a revolution!? It's just a marketing tool because revolutions are cool even when they don't exist.
The other one, which I don't know where to find, is a car commercial. At the end of said idealistic commercial, the announcer speaks of a place where humans, nature, and technology can live in harmony. NO. Nature and technology CAN NOT live in harmony. They're opposites, you can't have both. Sorry for my rant, I just really feel like yelling right now.
Where sky and water meet,
Where the waves grow sweet,
Doubt not, Reepicheep,
To find all you seek,
There is the utter east.
