I mean, do they even get paid? They seem to have limitless credits, but from where?

It's been discussed in a few of the books that they have numerous benefactors who have over the years supplied them with billions of credits. They are pretty well off, I actually question why they need as much money as they have.

I always thought that the Govt supported them...and ofc they need money
To maintain Their TEmple...their Jedi Knights....Their Ships....Their Ration....And Some Missions require tons of money...like the Zonama Sekot one which involves Anakin and ObiWan.

The ZS mission in particular is one where Obi-Wan references the stores of credits they have in Republic banks from various donations from benefactors over the years.

Yes..but thats before....After that the JEdi Order is pretty much finished>> and then Luke revives it
If they still had those huge sums of credits....Cal Omas Wudnt hav threatened them with the fact that the Govt funds them...and that they would cut the funding if Luke didnt reign in his Jedi Knights.....thats why i think those huge sums are long gone.....or else Jedis couldve told Cal Omas to take a hike Wink

Well, Jedi Joe, Jedi, as individuals don't get paid, but the Order does... somehow.

You just answered your own question. They went from an organization operating out of a trust fund to an organization operating on government pay.

The Galaxy is full of hopeless suckers who donate their money to the Jedi Temple. Poor fools. If they only realized their donations were really going toward the Future Sith fund.

What I'm just wondering is if they have super rich doners do they ever have to deal with "legacy" Jedi the way real life colleges have to deal with the legacies of rich alumni? Perhaps the little known truth as to why the Jedi were so easily destroyed by Order 66? Razz

Seriously though I had always figured they got government money or were perhaps run like a non-profit.
