So have you any nicknames? Share them here! This was inspired by a convo in the chat, and I'll go ahead and start. For those who wonder how I remember them all, it's only because I started writing them all down. I was losing track! Confused

My Nicknames:

Skinny Nicknames:
Pencil
Sharpie
Stickbug
Toothpick
Beanpole
Zipper

Regular Nicknames:
Reese Cup
Reese
Ellis
Eckis
Johnny

Family Nicknames:
Leesie
Lucy
Ree or Ree-Ree
Gears

Recent Nicknames:
Walking Stick
Stubborn Control-Freak
Chum
Hardhead
Know-It-All
Queen Bee
Agent Sharpie
007
Elsie May
Stalin
Q
Happy Feet
Crazy Number 2
Sloth
Stick Figure
Elsie the Great

And for the stories behind them all...oh, my. Maybe I should get to that another day. Or if there are any specific ones you're curious about, just ask. Shocked

I don't have nearly as many nicknames as Mara, but I love the ones I have. Here we go:

Ems (just my name shortened)

Emmy (see above)

M&Ms (this was one given to me by Mara'a sister)

Matrix (my superhero name. The result of a late-night Smallville conversation with a friend. Ok, so it wasn't that late. But we were jacked up on caffeine and hyper)

Trixie (nickname for Matrix)

Lynx (my newsie name. You don't want to know. But if you really must, ask)

Queen/Your Highness (me and a friend decided we were going to start our own country and rule it as queens. Yeah, we were tired Smile)

Padmé (no, I did not pick this name. It was given to me on a trip when someone who shall remain nameless decided to announce that I thought Anakin was cute. I was tormented the rest of the week. Good times. Wink)

Okay, the stories behind my names. Read on at your own risk:

My Nicknames:

Skinny Nicknames:
Pencil – My friends decided I needed a nickname for being skinny

Sharpie – I didn’t like Pencil, so this was born - and it's my favorite and most popular nickname Smile

Stickbug – A friend compared me to a stickbug Sad

Toothpick – Again, a comparison

Beanpole – Yup, same here

Zipper – In Atlantis, there is a line about being so skinny, you look like a zipper Wink

Regular Nicknames:
Reese Cup – Reese rhymed with my childhood nickname of Leesie, and hence Reese Cup

Reese – It is often shortened to Reese

Eckis – My friend’s little brother couldn’t pronounce my name right

Ellis – And his dad thought that was funny, so started calling me Ellis *shrugs*

Johnny – Were I a boy, my name would be Jonathan…when my friend found that out, she decided to call me Johnny

Family Nicknames:
Leesie – Fam made it up…short for Elyse

Lucy – Derivative of Leesie

Ree or Ree-Ree – Comes from the above Reese

Gears – I honestly don’t remember

Recent Nicknames:
Walking Stick – Some friends and I were ‘exploring the great unknown’ in their backyard, and one announced that she was “Good Heap Injun”…we thought this was hysterical since she said it backwards, and started handing out Indian names to everyone…I got stuck with Walking Stick because of the skinny issue again

Stubborn Control-Freak – I am, and thus I was dubbed as such

Chum – When a friend of mine and I started to hang out with each other, someone asked when we had become ‘so chummy’…we thought it was funny, so we started calling each other Chum

Hardhead – My dad likes to use this one

Know-It-All – A certain family I know calls me this because I always keep them in the Loop

Queen Bee – I won some spelling bees when I was younger, and some friends poked fun at me for it until I started purposely catching all their spelling mistakes…they jabbed back with Queen Bee Wink

Agent Sharpie – Combination of a joke on my last name and the previously mentioned Sharpie

007 – Comes from my last name *ahem*

Elsie May – People always read my name wrong and pronounce it Elsie...Doctor's Offices, Teachers, etc. I hate it, and my friends picked up on it and added May...grrr…

Stalin – Once a friend asked if I was stalling, and I thought she asked if I was Stalin! Her nickname was already Hitler from a previous set of jokes, and so Stalin stuck

Q – A shortened form of Queen Bee

Happy Feet – I can’t ever keep one of my legs from bouncing…it’s constantly bouncing up and down, or, if my legs are crossed, my foot is shaking from side to side at lightning speed

Crazy Number 2 – A friend and I decided that we were crazy…which is true…so we became Crazy Number 1 and Crazy Number 2

Sloth – I don’t like to wake up

Stick Figure – A friend and I were exchanging mock insults, and when this one was thrown my way, it stuck

Elsie the Great – I can’t totally remember, but it had something to do with we used to add titles to the ends of our names for fun depending on how we were acting at the moment…like, Elyse the Generous and such…at some point this one stuck *shrugs*

Well for me my nicknames are:

Indiana Jones

Dr. Jones (typically said in a voice mimicking Short Round)

Indy

all of the above are a combination of me 1) being an archaeologist and 2) because I typically wear a wide brimmed brown Fedora and khaki pants with some sort of shirt (typically blue or tan).

My other nickname is "Doc" because my Fedora reminded a friend of Dr. Grant from Jurassic Park (and my name is pronounced similar to "Grant").

The other nickname I briefly had simply added "The" to the front of my name. I got that on a field school I was on, needless to say after the field school was over I let that nickname go since it wasn't all that interesting.

I think it's been established that we're all abnormal. It's a compliment. Wink

You're already abnormal, Ben. As Padmè said, we all are. So no worries. Smile

Normal people are boring and over-rated. Wink

Maybe the normal people are really the abnormal ones? Which would make us normal and overrated?

Now you're over-thinking it. We're the abnormal, special ones. We're on a SW forum talking about random nicknames. Many people find that weird. I was checking the Cantina at school once and the girls in my class were like, "What's that? You're on SW website? Gosh, you're obsessed!," This coming from the girl with a celebrity gossip rag in her hand. *ahem*

Assuming you are also a fan of the Republic Commando novels Fi is an awesome nickname.

I would be, but they pronounce it "fee-fee", like a name for a poodle or something! Laughing
