Should Anakin really come back though? His death would lose it's power and the fact that Del Rey knew his days were numbered was what inspired them to write the awesome character that he is (was). Without that, who knows, maybe he'd be the one turning into Darth Caedus.

That's about as bad as bringing Palpatine back to life. I don't like it when Star Wars takes these bizarre plots. Anakin is DEAD, get over it. Although I would like more time travel stories... Wink

Well, we all know that Anakin isn't coming back, unless somebody at Del Rey has a big change of heart. We just like to whine and complain and come up with ways that he could come back. Wink

That said, I think it would have been possible to bring him back in LotF using Flow Walking. Oh, the road not travelled. Wink

And no more clones. Ever. It might have been an interesting idea once, but the whole Palpatine plot killed it.

I'm still holding out for another Thrawn clone. Zahn said it was always a possibility that there was another floating about if Thrawn was ever needed.

But I'd be against an Anakin clone. As much as his death was disappointing, I think he should be left be. Bringing him back would only give them the opportunity to ruin his character.

But based on the same logic, all surviving major characters should be killed to preserve what is left of their good character qualities... Wink

I can see the problem with using Flow Walking to bring Anakin back. People would start asking, "Well, Anakin's back, why not Mara?". The only solution I could have seen was to make Flow Walking a power that only Caedus achieved. He could have gone back and saved Anakin, but the knowledge of how to do it would have died with him.

And let's hear it for more Force ghosts in the near future. Smile

I kinda like that>>>The Knowledge dies after we get Anakin back Very Happy
Dunno how exactly the Ghost concept will work. Obi-Wan learnt how to do that through Qui-Gonn...And They reaalyy didnt pass down that knowlegde. Perhaps it happens naturally(as in Maras Case)

Jaina uses the ability, and through the ability she turns into Anakin while her presence joins the Force- like Calista Laughing

Jags left going "come again?"

I see this alot, that Palpatine's clone was the last straw, but wasn't that the first clone GL gives us? Laughing That's right- the idea for a cloned Palpatine came from GL he didn't like the idea of a Force User pretending to be Palpatine.

Then we get to see "What are these Clone Wars are about" Zhan played with them, but that's about it. Yet it's treated like sacrilege to mention another clone. In a galaxy that cloning and it's practices have become about as common as teleporting is to ST Laughing

I am seriously suprised the Clone theme wasn't thrown around more- and it just may still- GL isn't done with HIS story, making HISTORY of our EU Laughing

tetetehehe Evil or Very Mad Oh George what shall you give us next?

I re thought about it- Jaina sacrifices herself to change Tarq's body- then like the Superman reborn- her body vaporizes to transfer her force presence to Anakin- so he's just as Solo strong as he was last time!

Heck even in that same Kal'el-Krypton man blast scene even! hahaha

The clone idea wasn't really that bad. I liked it fine in Hand of Thrawn. But ever since Palpatine's little foray into the world of replication, the thought of more clones makes me want to run screaming for the hills.

In the comics late 90's Superman "dies" Yeah right- well when he comes back he's missing most of his powers, there was a guy some Kryptonian who wasn't- poss like Brainiac- well the Cyborg Superman looses a Kryptonite gas at Superman- the Kryptonian jumps in front of the blast- there is a cool panel of the Kryptonian being melted and Superman absorbing his powers.

Sprung to mind Laughing
