I loved Dark Rendezvous! Very good plot, good characters, and it brought back the OT Yoda. Liked that especially, I did. Very Happy

Swarm War is awesome! The Dark Nest trilogy was only worth reading because of it for me. Enjoy it before you follow one character's fall into darkness in LOTF

it's been awhile. Look for author John Birmingham in the SciFi section. His first book of a three book series is "Weapons of Choice." It deals with what would happen if a Navy fleet from the year 2021 somehow was sent back in time to right before the Battle of Midway and is stranded there with no way home.

It's a good series about alternate reality for military buffs like me. Think what would have happened if the Allies had the A-4 Skyhawk before the end of WWII. Or the B-52 just coming off the line about the same time. Or Hitler knowing who within his command doesn't trust him and want to kill him. So he sets out to get rid of them before he's betrayed. That's what happens when all this information is on 21st century computers and both sides have access to it. They use that information to try to "change" the future of that time line.

Naturally there's a lot more to the story than that and as you all should know by now I'm a big advocate of "read the book." It's a three book series BTW so I can't give you all the details and yes - I did read all three. Smile

This is Kal_Skirata with your quick book recommendation of the night. Thanks and Good Night All Smile

Oh, I've got another series to recommend but it's a six book series that I'll let you all know at a later date. And yes, I''ve read all six of those books as well. I read too damn much Smile

Well, we can already see him turning, especially with his.... treatment, of Ta'a Chume. Shocked

And call me weird, but..... I like Jacen better as a Rogue/Dark Jedi!

Okay, I might be the minority about this but I thought this series was lousy. My main problem was that it moved too fast and I didn't feel it had an ending. It just ended - boom - done - over, now let's move on to a better series.

Just my 2 Cents. Smile

I wasn't the biggest fan of the ending either, but the journey through all 19 books was great. My problem with Legacy of the Force is it seems to move too slow! I finished Bloodlines, thought it was great, then realized not too much if anything happened. Also, they've dragged out all the evil done in such detail I've gotten tired of it. I tend to enjoy LotF book by book, but as a whole, I think it's too slow. NJO kept me going all the way through even if it is the "same" thing in each book at the start Smile

Yeah, I agree . . . I thought the plot was a little ridiculously fashioned, and it was only a bridge from NJO to LotF.

Well, I have a feeling I'll like him just as much in LOTF, lol. If he doesn't kill Jaina. I'll only like him if he doesn't kill Jaina. Razz

And as for the ending to NJO.... I have to agree. The ending was a let down. But, as Aush said, the entire series is awesome!!! And I liked Unifying Force too. But they could've done a bit more with it.

I have to disagree. New Jedi Order and Legacy of the Force both stand on equal ground; Dark Nest trilogy was the bridge. Also, Legacy of the Force doesn't have Anakin Solo, so, by default, it's not better Very Happy Laughing (Anakin Sal-Solo doesn't count! Very Happy)

Hahaha, that was my bad; I guess I lost track of the conversation and mixed up what we were talking about.

So, yes, Darth Judicar, I agree with you. Sorry about that Embarassed Smile

Well I finally got around to buying Republic Commando Hard Contact. So far it seems very interesting. Haven't gotten very far though so we'll see if it keeps my interest and motivates me to buy the other Republic Commando books that are out.
