i'm currently leaning towards your beliefs, Darth Judicar. Very disturbing, this is.......

Gooooooooood. I can feel your anger. It gives you focus; makes you stronger.

Maybe I can just totally refuse, and throw my lightsaber away..it worked for Luke(kind of Rolling Eyes ...) Very Happy

Eh, if it wasn't for Vader's weakness at the end, he wouldn't've lived to tell the tale.

@ Darth Judicar,

Point taken. Maybe I don't like going all the way dark. Life kinda sucks for a Sith, from the history I've seen. Perhaps the third path is more appealing to me; just renouncing, and going off to Mandalore, plant some chickens and raise some corn! Wink

P.S.
that's a lot of quotes in your post! Surprised

Haha, a nice little quote tunnel.

But Jedipoodoo, that's no fun! Choose a side! There is no middle ground! Twisted Evil

well being mad and permanently turning to the Dark Side I suppose are two different things. Luke gave into his anger on the Death Star II yet didn't fall to the Dark Side so I guess that means just not being mad often and/or not holding onto anger too long you don't fall to the Dark Side right?

It seems you can get mad but you must recognize it and release it; don't let it dominate. Luke realized he was falling and it got him to turn back; it doesn't work that way for everyone.

On that topic of temporarily giving into your anger does Obi-Wan also give into his anger during the duel with Darth Maul when he sees Qui-Gon die? It sorta seems like he might have done so at that point in the duel.

He might have but he focused it more then letting it take over. I'm reminded of Luke Skywalker in Sacrifice when he met with Lumiya.

@ Darth Judicar

Sorry to refuse your fiery recruiting speech Darth Judicar, I choose the light, not the dark. It may be fun to fantasize about going to the dark side, but i know my own character. I would rather help an old lady cross the street, than push her out of my way. Wink It is true that we all carry the light and the dark inside of us, and most of us choose the light, because that is what is right, and that is what holds society (more or less) together. Part of the appeal of SW has always been that theme; you can fall to your anger, but only you can choose to keep holding onto it.

...so...now that I refused, does this mean a duel to the death? Wink

When I read that I just got this image of you standing behind the old lady and using the Force to fling her across the street to the other side. Laughing Guess the Dark Side is a little bit stronger in me today than the Light Side Rolling Eyes

I think it's safe to assume that everyone here is 'naturally' a light side/gray Jedi...but that said, it is so much more fun to pretend to be a Sith.

-So as Judicar flings the old lady across the street, I happen to notice the credits flying out of her purse and pick them up. Seeing Jedipoodoo's anger at what Judicar has done, I quickly realize that a fight is brewing-

So I'll wager the 62 creds that Judicar wins the fight. What odds would you give me Vorn?

Heh, na, I wouldn't fling a helpless old lady across the street, because there's just no point. If there was a reason, however, I'd do it. Twisted Evil

Hmmm pretty close contest, I guess I'll go with the odds of 6 to 4 that Judicar wins. Jedipoodoo could always surprise us though, its just the hesitation to pick a side brings into question whether the same thing might happen at a critical moment in the duel. Let the duel begin! *cues Duel of the Fates*

what doing it for kicks isn't enough of a reason for you? Or do you need a reason such as scuffing your speeder's paint job?
