Come on, we all know that the summaries of SW books tend to be cheesy and over-dramatic. Share your favorites here. Smile

My all time favorite is the back of one of the Dark Nest books (either The Joiner King or The Unseen Queen, can't remember which) where it states that "our heroes will be forced to fathom the unfathomable," Seriously? What does that even mean?

Oh where to begin...

I can't think of anything specific, but I know there were a lot (not so much any more) that said things like "our heroes will face their greatest threat yet". And, after you read it, you think, yeah not quite.

Part of Dark Journey's summary: Grief-stricken and obsessed with revenge, Jaina is blind to these threats—and to the overpowering evil dangerously close to consuming her. In the coming conflagration, Jaina will be fighting not for victory or vengeance, but for her very being

WAY to overdramatic for a book that showed her BARELY turning dark at all. More like being crabby and self centered than turning dark.

Maybe, but I didn't think that throwing a few lightning bolts at Kyp exactly counted as "being consumed by evil," Rolling Eyes

No it was all what she did to the Wookiees- she was wasting them. Then she mind wipes her best friend. It's funny, she in this book managed to get Wookiee's killed, mind wipe a fellow Jedi- a close one. Drop some lightning (not that big a deal IMO) and yet she did come away looking better then most Wink

Here's part of the blurb for The Crystal Star: "Ultimately, our heroes will face an explosive showdown that could determine not only their fates and the fate of the New Republic, but whether the universe itself will survive," Wow. Really? Saving the galaxy from Waru. What a thrill. Smile

Hmmmm....which is the worst way to go? Being tickled to death by Elmo or having the Force drained from you by Waru? Wink

Well with Elmo you just have his furry paws tickling you, but with Waru you have to become engulfed by his golden scales and nasty fluids. I don't think I'd want to take a swim in Waru.
