TPBs are your friend, for any and all series. I don't buy anything in single issue format anymore, even the series I consider the greatest comic to ever see print, Astro City, I only pick up in TPB format. The X-Men may seem daunting but if you do a little bit of research you'll find the TPBs you need to get for various points in their timeline.

Agreed- so many stories are cross arcs covering 2- 5 different series. Every time I tried to collect a series single some slip through my fingers. TPBs are the way to go- yet for comics other then SW I don't go there. Weird I know..

I'm not really into comics so no comment. I do like the Batman and Spiderman movies though...

For me, it's a draw between Marvel and DC basically, but I chose the latter.

I'm surprised- I'm typically around Marvel lovers- so perhaps I can learn more on DC.

Though I found it funny- Marvel does Mavel Zombies- and Dark Reign DC responds with Blackest night, now Marvel is doing some Necropisis which is a zombie virus like the Black lantern story in DC- it's funny how the lines use the same ideas and make them rock!

Ok so I've gotten hooked on the Green Lantern story of late- the whole Darkest night is too cool. I blame you Austin! For before that it was just Superman, Batman, and a little Flash. Now I've been reading up on the DCU- I blame your defense!

Back in the early 2000s, I watched the show "Justice League" on TV. Almost by accident, I rediscovered the show, and have just ordered the entire first season on Blu-Ray from Ebay. I LOVED this show. Did anyone else watch it?

I vaguely remember it. I watched it for awhile, but then my mom made me quit. I think because it wasn't really a kid's cartoon? Confused

I can't recall the content of the episodes, and the DVD says "not rated". I do have the pilot episode on DVD, and that was as violent as TCW, but not more. I know for a fact that the second show, "Justice League Unlimited", was more intense and wasn't really a kids show.

Well, I'm enjoying Justice League so much that I started a blog for it, since Twitter wasn't big enough for my thoughts. You can read it here: http://towereviews.wordpress.com/

Mid '90s Marvel > Everything.

IMO, of course. Wink
