Will this encourage you to buy more books from Star Wars Shop.com?
Yes! I will be ordering some for sure, when I have some money.

SO now you too can get your hands on a signed copy of your SW books!

So feel free to discuss this here.

Is this a great idea? I think so. I cherish my signed books above the rest. And it looks as though prices won't be raised for a signed copy. Granted most stores knock off 10% or 20% and you'll be paying shipping charges I'm sure, but that's not TOO much for a signed copy of a book.

I'm more irked they didn't have them before I bought my copies of Outcast, Omen, and Abyss. Sad

But still a good Idea.

My signed books are:

HttH- Zahn
HC- Karen Traviss
TZ-KT
Bloodlines-KT
Sacrifice-KT
Revelation-KT
TCW-KT

Like I need to tell everyone KT for all those but I did. Wink

I almost bought a Brooks signed ep 1, but already had a copy and didn't want to pay what they wanted for it. And the ones I have are done by the author for ME, and me alone with was super cool. Most of Karen's are in Mando'a which was awesome!

So I think being able to get signed copies has it's ups and downs.

Has anyone bought a generic signed copy before?

And if so what did it read?

I don't have any signed copies. For me, if I was going to get an autograph, it's something I'd like to get in person, a chance to actually meet the author. Unfortunately they never come to St. Louis.

For me, a signed copy of a book is not that big of a deal. But I was raised in NYC, so I guess the quintessential New Yorker(we claim the title, in the city, everything outside NYC, doesn't count! Wink ) nothing impresses me! Razz But, meeting the authors would be pretty nice, though.

I'm not interested in signed books. Not just my thing.

I'm more interested in meeting someone like that, thanking them for their nice work, and shaking their hand. If it was someone I was really stoked about, I'd maybe like to take a picture with them more than anything else.

I'd take an autographed copy of a book, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it.

Personally, I don't want to meet authors. I don't want to be disappointed.
