I thought it'd be fun to stop and take a look at the valuable lessons we've all learned from the EU. I've been flipping through the Bantam books and the NJO recently and was quite amazed that the things I'd overlooked the last time I'd read them. Oh sure, there are the lessons like "super weapons are bad" and "no matter what, the Solo kids will always get kidnapped" that we all learned better than we ever wanted to, but I also tried to look deeper to find the hidden morals the authors stuck in there. To start with, a more obvious one .......
The Thrawn Trilogy: YOU WILL KILL LUKE SKYWALKER. If this is too difficult, a clone will do. Or, you know, you could avoid this whole thing and just marry him.
The Jedi Academy Trilogy: If you blow up a planet, you get coffee and doughnuts. (Don't believe me? Champions of the Force, page 249)
Anyone else have any deep insight? _________________ All things die, Anakin Skywalker, even stars burn out.
So this is how liberty dies....with thunderous applause.
Those without swords can still die upon them
The world is a mess and I just need to rule it.
