I forgot about her getting his holocron. I assume, since she seemed so eager to learn, that she will present this to Zannah.

Actually, Cognus might keep the holocron a secret. It would be a very powerful tool to help her eventual overthrow her master. And will Bane's holocron have the new knowledge he learned or was that not imprinted on it yet? I'm not really sure how that works with holocrons.

I am pretty sure he never had the chance to load the latest info to that holocron.

Well, definitely not the info of passing on the essence to another body, but everything he had learned prior to that should be on there. So that is a pretty valuable possesion.

Here's a thought: what kind of weapon do you think Cognus will go for? Bane has a hooked lightsaber, Zannah a double blade, and Cognus seems to have a thing for knives. Will she opt for a traditional lightsaber, or maybe two shotos?

She was in possesion of Bane's hooked saber so that would be my guess. Although I really like the idea of dual shotos.

I finished this book yesterday and it has to be the best of the three.

Like you guys have said the mind games were great, it was really neat seeing Bane and Zannah waging war like that. I never thought about Serra becoming an apprentice, but I was a little sad she died. Set and Cognus were neat characters, although I'm definitley glad Cognus will be the apprentice and not Set.

Now that the trilogy is over do you you think we'll get Zannah and Cognus book(s)? The epiloque did it for me- why else would they throw that at the end?

Ha ha, that means a Darth Zannah Trilogy Razz

Hmm, I wonder if they'll go for that. Bane certainly had some selling power, but will Del Rey go for another group of Sith books based entirely on new characters? I'm not sure just how good the sales of the Bane books have been, but I bet that if they do opt for more, they'll try and do something catchy with the name.

It makes me wonder how far they'll go because they have about a thousand years to fill They can't possibly make that many books can they? Confused

Well if they can do 9 book series...

Then again, I wouldn't want Drew to get stuck writing Sith. He does it well, but I wouldn't want him to get stuck with it if he's got ideas for other things. There's only so many times you can tell the story. Would probably be a better idea to leave the Rule of Two Sith alone and dive into another area.

Personally I'd like a Bounty Hunters book. Wink

Don't forget the Sith are supposed to be in hiding until The Phantom Menace. Set or any of the Stone Prison guards could easily tell the Jedi of their existence.

Well I certainly want the storyline to continue, but I also wonder how many stories can be written about the sith when they stayed hidden for so long.

There's definately going to be at least one more book becasue:
1. Set escaped with Andeddu's holocron, when they could've just let Cognus kill him.
2. Zannah's hand-twitch.
3. Darth Cognus' already has an apprentice set up, Darth Millennial. Cool

Oh, I think Reep has a good point there with #3. Darth Millennial is almost reason enough for another book.

The fact that Millennial didn't get along with his master and didn't like the Rule of Two could make story elements. Plus he formed the Prophets of the Dark Side.

Yeah, I could definitely see them doing another one. Now that I'm looking at what they have to work with there, there's certainly enough for Drew to do at least one more book.

Couldn't have said it better myself! For the past two and a half books, I haven't been able to decide which Sith to root for in the final battle: Bane or Zannah. But finally, during Dynasty, I was able to choose, and very much chose Zannah. So when they threw in the part about the hand, I was upset! Course, now that I've heard the confirmation that this is just Zannah with echoes of Bane, I'm happy. That's what I was hoping for. Smile

Great book! I couldn't decide who to vote for to become the next apprentice: Set, The Huntress, or Serra. I was pretty sure Serra was going to embrace the Dark Side. And though I was happy she didn't, I was disappointed she was killed so easily. Sad

I didn't think Set would become the next apprentice, as he didn't have enough motivation. Granted, I thought it would be interesting for Zannah to have an apprentice that didn't really care about anything. So in the end, I voted for The Huntress, and she won! Smile

Bane was awesome, but I thought it was time for him to go. So I was happy with the way it ended. Now that the ambiguity has been laid to rest, that is. Wink
