I completely missed this. Now I must read the wookieepedia article on Twi'leks. Four lekku, funny ears, breedable with humans, french accents, what's next? Surely they're done with the Twi'leks by now.
Oh, that's right, they're messing up the Mandos now. Why can't they mess with a species we know little about? Bring on the Gand!

Like Chom Frey Kaa, another obese Twi'lek, he differed from the normal Twi'lek in that he had four lekku instead of the normal two. His weight allowed him to develop an anterior set of fatty lekku from the thick brows common in male Twi'leks. In Twi'lek culture this may have been seen as a sign of power or virility. In addition, he had three fingers and a thumb instead of the normal four fingers and thumb of most other Twi'leks. He also had the sharpened teeth that were apparently common for Twi'lek males.
So either really fat Twi'leks get four lekku or it's a sign of power. Plus he's got shorted on fingers and females don't have pointy teeth.
Boy, it does get messy. Guess they could mess it up further: obese female with normal ears, three finger + thumb hands, and pointy teeth. Might as well throw in a tail.

There are two subspecies of Twi'leks, Lethans who have red skin, and Rutians who have turquoise skin. Lethans are the rarer of the two.
On top of that, Twi'leks generally lack body hair. Furthermore, most males are ugly and most females are attractive.
Perhaps this is the most messed up species in Star Wars
