According to IGN there's a new animated Star Wars TV show in the works (don't hold you breath) with the working title "Squishies". Apparentley it's aimed at preschoolers and may or may not be about the Galactic Heroes toys. As it probably won't be considered canon (at least I hope not Shocked ) and it's obviously not meant for me, I'll probably just skip it.

And you thought The Clone Wars was bad. Wink

NOTE: No, it isn't April 1st.

Sigh...George, when is enough enough? You have more money than I can even dream of, you're legendary for creating 2 of the most popular action franchises of all time (Indiana Jones, Star Wars) and you have managed to not only bring them back but destroy them both and alienate large portions of your fan base by doing things like killing characters in the star wars universe and then saying "That's your universe, the shows and movies are mine" even though you alienated one of your authors that way. You also nuked a fridge and got away with it. Just tell me...when is enough enough? Do you really need a little kids show now? For crying out loud you have enough money to buy enough TiVos to record every episode of Family Guy. I don't even have ONE TiVo. Shees.....

I will not be watching this.

That said, I actually like the nuked refrigerator scene in Indy. Cool

I don't care about this one way or another.

My only gripe is what affect does it have on the live action series? Can he really be putting much attention to it when he has two cartoon series going?

TCW will probably be done in 2013 and the live action show starts in 2012 (maybe that's what all this talks about *shudders*) and Squishies may be way down the line so there shouldn't really be a problem.

I don't care what age group they're targeting, "Squishies" sounds terrible.

Actually, now that I think about it, why not? Introducing kids to SW is a good thing. Unless of course they make it canon. Then they will feel my wrath.

Yay! Someone else who understands that Indy can survive anything on pure power of awesome. Wink

Lol perhaps Indy can survive on awesome, but it takes more than awesome to survive a nuclear blast. Ask Einstein! Haha but seriously, he alienated a lot of fans with Indy 4, much like he alienated several with AotC.....

See, I don't quite understand what it was about Indy 4 that annoyed people so much. Was it as good as Raiders? No. But I thought it was a heck of a lot better than Temple of Doom. And since when was Indy ever realistic?

Anyway, that was my little off-subject spiel. Wink

Lol please no squishies, especially with that title...just wow...

Having said that: Indy 4 was trashed because there was no desire for it. It had an alien plot (indy is about nazis and religious artifacts and rituals) and it just kinda killed it for me. I wouldn't see a sequel in theatres.

See, I am the only person I know who loved the alien plot. I get what Indy is about, but I liked how they went somewhere else for once.

Gah, see, now I'm wanting to have an Indy discussion and thoroughly examine all the series' strengths and weaknesses. Do we have a thread for those movies?
