It's official. Young Boba Fett will be in this season of The Clone Wars. Read the USA Today article. And, We Talk Clones host Tom (Kal Skirata!!!) is quoted in the article! How cool is that?

Am happy but slightly worried.

Ecstatic!!! Cool Very Happy
The article says Boba is out for revenge, which sounds like him. I wonder if he's going to try and take out Mace Windu like he tried to in the books?

Yep! I also liked the part where Boba will be working with other bounty hunters. Hopefully more new bounty hunters.

I'm a bit skeptical. I mean, I don't mind if they retcon those dopey Boba Fett children series books, but it seems like Filoni is milking the cow that is Star Wars... Confused

In other words, Season 2 is ending on April 30th! Let's hope the rest of the show goes down with it! Very Happy

Harsh, Joe, harsh. Wink Now, if they want to kill Satine and Ahsoka and find a voice actress for Padmé that doesn't sound like nails on a chalkboard, I'd be ok with that.

He's working with other bounty hunters... Not sure how I feel about this, because he usually works alone. Then again this is when he was young and, probably, not as hardened.

@Jedi Joe, the Boba Fett books were not DOPEY!!! They were the first EU books I ever read and I loved them. Of course it has beenyears since I read them, maybe they're not as good as I remember. Btw I wouldn't count on The Clone Wars being done after season two, because I'm pretty sure GL has plans for 100 episodes.

Yea, I thought they were good at first, but then they became a little bit weird. I loved Raxus Prime, but I didn't understand the whole hopping the moons of Bogden... Confused

Little Boba looks ticked off there. I like it Very Happy I hope they don't turn him into a whiny Anakin though. I want a tight lipped, violent little Boba who'd sooner stab a Jedi than speak to them

Exactly.

My two fears for fleshing out Boba on tv are one of two extremes:
1. They turn him into a soul-less killer, instead of making him choose only certain jobs (corrupt politician's, crime lords etc).
2. They make him be a smart aleck. Making him really charismatic and making jokes after he kills people ala James Bond. Rolling Eyes

I don't think we have to worry with The Clone Wars, but the live action show may be another matter.

A trailer for the season finale:

It looks so cool!! Cool Very Happy Like Hostage Crisis X10!

It looked very Boba-esque, the character I know and love. I'm interested that they're making him interact with clones, because in the books he resented them and that's important for his character. We'll see what they do with that.
