According to TheForce.Net, Karen Traviss is going to return to the EU for a trilogy about Boba Fett and the Clone Troopers.

“I’m very excited to write Star Wars again...The fans have been so kind to me and I’ve received loads of support from blogs and podcasts. I promise fans will not be disappointed with this series.” Karen Traviss

“Karen is a very talented author and I’m glad she’s rejoining the Star Wars community. I think that after this season’s explosive finale, Star Wars fans will want even more Boba Fett. That’s what they’ll get with this book series.” -Dave Filoni

The first book will be titled Bounty Hunted and is set for a Fall release and the second book is tentatively titled Vector of Confusion with an early 2011 release.

Well this is big news

Crap. I didn't think about that...

Okay, don't consider this news then unless they back it up tomorrow. Cool

I so want it to be true - I mean it seems like too cruel a joke to play!

It is a joke. Not a very funny one, if you ask me. But I can confirm that it is a joke. Rolling Eyes

Their own members were getting a little upset by it. I agree with you - their post about the new The Adventures of Ben Quadinaros TV series is a good joke. But this one is going to get people upset, since it is a touchy topic. Oh well.

This is beyond not funny. I was fairly upset by her departure and this is messed up that they thought this was funny. I wonder how she's takin this...

That's a dangerous game to play with an April Fools joke on TF.N's part.

Unless it was true, (Which we all know isn't the case) and in that case you wonder why didn't they contact all the Fan sites.

I mean how many people did it falsely quote? At least two.

I agree with you guys, this was not nice of them. I knew it was a joke after seeing EUC's front page ( Cool Wink ), but what if someone did take it seriously? Exposed April Fool's jokes that are a relief are funny, disappointments are just mean. Sad

Actually this is a good thing for me. Not that Karen Traviss isn't returning, but would we REALLY need another book about Fett? Rolling Eyes

True enough, but it was still a nasty trick to play on fans who want to see a Fett series.

Well, what do you expect? They have been bagging on Traviss and anyone who is fan of hers since shes bowed out of her contract.

Signed, Old Man Kal (see, I'm living up to my age - now where's my soup?)
