Agreed. Although I don't want the main characters being ignored. Seems like Ben just got himself a personality. Wink

So it looks like Jaina (and Jag) will both last until at least Ascension (#8 of FotJ), according to the new accouncement, anyway. Neutral

That makes me happy! I don't want Jaina going anywhere. Of all people, Leia and Han's kids can't all be killed. I'm already upset that both of the sons are gone. So no, being one of my favorite characters ever (behind Mara and Han, of course), Jaina better not be killed off. If she is, so help me...Evil or Very Mad

I'm really scared to read Allies, it sounds like Jaina is getting ruined even more! As soon as i heard from spoilers on Theforce.net that

, i was like COME ON. Aside from the Jaina stuff, is this book worth reading? Its the first Star Wars book since forever that i haven't bought within the first 3 days of release...

It's definitely worth reading. Much better than Backlash.

Before characters can grow they need to be down... Just saying. I'm actually pleased with the Jaina situation, but that's just me.

To hear a review of Allies by myself and Nathan P. Butler, be sure to check out The EU Review.

So far Allies is my favorite out of FOTJ. I liked the subplot alot because the subject of it is one of my favorite things to write/read about in Star Wars. I thought it was a good story, however, I have seen a lot of people write about it's flaws and continuity issues, but none of that bothered me when I read it.

I'll probably read it then, but I think I'll save it so the wait between now and December(Vortex) doesnt seem soooo long.

At last! After almost 3 constant weeks of being away from home, I've finally been able to settle down and read Allies! I must say that I was pleasantly surprised, and it was an excellent book! I have very few cons to attribute to this book, and if you read my Backlash review, you'll know it was absolutely drowning in cons. But to summarize:

Edit: Oh, did anyone else notice that Kyp's last name was spelled wrong the entire book? Also, I know Nathan Butler touched upon the fact that they mixed up the Chevs and the Chevins quite a few times. Not to mention that in the timeline in the front of the book, not only did they leave off Backlash, but they completely left out Omen! It says, "Fate of the Jedi: Outcast, Abyss." Neutral

Yes. At first I thought that I was going nuts or something. It bugged me.

I didn't catch Kyp's name being mispelled. Nor did I bother to pull out my Alien Anthology book to double check the Chevs and Chevins. Odd that nobody caught that in the editing process.
