But you know that's too boring for Han. He has to go out in blazing burning rocking glory and save the galaxy at the same time. Its freaking Han Solo, dying in his sleep may have been earned but its kinda lame for someone so awesome...

Maybe not dying in his sleep...but he should at least die at peace. Not in a moment like "Oh, I will crash the Falcon into this ships in hope of saving Leia, but it may not even work, so Leia may die." He needs to die knowing that Leia is okay, at least.

Now see, Lando can die in his sleep. That is one character I could happily see dying peacefully. The others...I would feel cheated out of a worthy death. Neutral

Ah, see...then I suppose Del Rey will have many upset fans either way. Because for me, it would tear at my heart to see them go slowly. They've already ripped Chewie, Anakin, and Mara from us, not to mention so many others. I couldn't handle it one at a time. I would pick up each book warily, afraid of what might be lurking within its pages. Confused

I suppose you're right. Either way, some fans will be unhappy. I'm not saying I'd be furious or storm Del Rey if they all went out at once, but I'd be seriously depressed for awhile.

@Joe: Lando doesn't die. He stays alive on pure smoothness. Wink

But personally, I think they should just retire or something. Why must they get killed off?

Do what they did with Spock in Star Trek.

Agreed. This is why I think he should go first. He needs to know Leia will be all right.

Joe: How dare you bring Trek into this!? Wink

Because I don't feel the next generation can ever truly live up to their potential until the Big Three are gone. It's just...awkward. I think Jaina, Ben, Allana and Company could explode with awesomeness as soon as the original crew has passed on. But they must go in a blaze of glory! I have foreseen it. Wink

Or, the Falcon has hyperdrive problems (again), and a jump to hyperspace jumps them into the future, taking them away from the modern era. That way, the next Generation can have their time all to themselves... Very Happy

No, that's on Men in Black... Wink

Maybe Luke could get a deadly disease, and he sacrifices himself for a cause, seeing as he is dying already?
