I wonder, does the whole timeline thing only bother Trek fans who read the books, or does this bother Trek fans who watch the movies and television shows?
Personally I just watch the movies and television shows, I don't have any compulsion to read the books, and therefore continuity/timeline problems don't bother me at all. I'm perfectly fine with the new Star Trek alteration. |
I started recording ALL the Trek for my Dad while he worked graveyards as a kid, when I started reading SW books I've read a few of his- they are not all bad- the continuity- is non existant, up till about 08 or so, from there they got good- TOO GOOD- the Borg became so powerful they wiped out half the alpha quadrant, then evolve to a HIGHER BEING and are no longer a threat- which left the Galaxy closer to SW then the utopia we know Trek as.
But in BOTH formats timetravel has factored significantly to the plots- either that or mirror dimensions. _________________
