School Project Suggestions

Kay, guys, I need your help. My next Art project is to come up with and design a name and logo for a new beverage (non-alcoholic).

After viewing several different existing beverage logos, I noticed that most are actually rather simple. Also, I found that the ones that grabbed my attention the best were the ones with some kind of lightning strike/bolt. So, based on that and this little dude that I drew on the marker board the other day, I came up with some tentative names that I've included in the above poll.

Please vote! I won't necessarily be using one of these names, as this is just the planning stage, but I'm trying to throw something out there. Keep in mind that the name needs to grab your attention and keep it. It's all about marketing, after all. And if you can think of any other names/logos that you think are a good marketing possibility, please post them! If I get enough good suggestions, I'll revise the poll to include them and see what we get from that. Thanks, and happy voting! Very Happy

Oh, and my sister suggests that the tagline should be: Burst Your Thirst! I think it's corny, but hey. Aren't most of them? Wink

I'd do a variation, probably based on Lightning as that has a more sudden POW type theme.

My own suggestion would be to base the name on one of the Thunder/Lightning gods from ancient times. Granted it isn't exactly going to be very culturally sensitive if you pick a non-Western culture. Nevertheless equating your energy drink equating your drink to an immortal might register as good with people who are looking for a boost (toggle god-mode on anyone? Wink

)

My own preference would be:
Thunderbird (fine as is if you ask me)
Thor
Zeus/Jupiter
(the last two might or might not require name tweaking to make it sound better for an energy drink)

I went with those three because people are either likely to be familiar with those gods and therefore get what your aiming at (Zeus/Thor) or the name just sounded cool (Thunderbird)

Two new choices are being added to the voting. Salaris's suggestions somehow led me and my crazy sisters to the name Jet Fuel, which I really like. I don't know how to edit an existing poll, so when the votes are in, I'll just create another. Feel free to go ahead and voice your opinion toward one or the other, though. Smile

Thanks again for all the comments and suggestions, guys! Out of your feedback came two names that never appeared in the poll, but they had overwhelming votes from classmates. So, those are the first ones I started creating on the computer. There will probably be some more by the end of the weekend, but for now, here's what I've got. Check 'em out and let me know! Smile
